In what surely be the crowning disgrace to this whole sorry affair that is the persecution of Martha Stewart, a Merck news release last week (info here; can't find the original) contradicts the FDA's ruling on Erbitux, which was what led to the whole ImClone mess in the first place. The incompetence of the anti-progress, anti-choice, anti-life FDA not only went about it's usual business of killing the sick and weak, but managed to score some Rudy Giuliani-Eliot Spitzer brownie points by also fvcking up a few careers and stock prices along the way. A glorious day to be a bureaucrat, to be sure.
