Colston missed nearly a week and half while waiting for the irritation and swelling in his surgically knee to subside. He expects to play this week against the Texans, which will be a telling test for the knee. He's going to have to avoid setbacks over the next week or two before we'd even consider drafting him as a borderline WR2.

Payton also revealed that Colston now has a plate protecting the fracture while it heals. The Saints are optimistic that Colston can beat a normal recovery time from this injury. We're not so sure, but would advise to hang onto Colston as an injured WR5 in the meantime. He'll be a fantasy starter upon return.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>Colston beat his original recovery timetable, so it's no surprise that he was limited to nickel packages and three-wide sets in his first week back. Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson played 62 snaps apiece while Lance Moore saw just 33 plays. Colston, Moore, and Meachem are the three Saints receivers worth carrying going forward.

</TD></TR><TR><TD class=vaLink>"His role was limited last week but you will see his role increase," said Payton. "He is fully healthy." Colston was limited to 20-of-81 offensive snaps in Week 4 (24.7 percent), but he's going to be a full-time player soon. After turning in a full practice Wednesday, Colston is on track to regain his starting job. The Saints face the Panthers this week. Colston is probably now the best bet for production in New Orleans' wide receiver corps.
