I voted for Bush, but, Bush won on a supreme court decision, which in retrospect, was very much a farce, obama won by a landslide. This entire thread is a joke, yea the stocks are going down because of Obama, not because the economy sucks, Obama, right, got it. and by the by Bush turned out to have the lowest approval rating ever, so lets talk confidence...
How was the first Bush win a farce. Networks called Florida early for the inventer of the internet before the polls were even closed in conservative western Florida. Bush would have carried Florida easily. But you never hear of Republicans being "disenfranchised". Like you hear of liberal wingnuts who can't even read a ballot being disenfranchised.
So it's Bush's fault that democrats starting making a push while Clinton was in office that everybody should be able to have a home, no matter what their income, and they used government agencies to be a back stop (Freddie Mac and Fanny Mae). Home values went down, the mortgages became virtually worthless. And now that's Bush's fault. I give up, you don't understand this stuff, and I don't have the time to educate you. Ok, bottom line Bush would have won on votes as is, if they had gone back to voter intent however on the mismarked ballots which was what had been the law up to that point gore would have won, so who knows? The supreme court decision however to end the recount and not allow voter intent to stand and the subsequent clause stating the decision was a one time thing not to carry precedence in the future was very much a farce
