Big lame, get back to work there at Sportbet! It's a busy sports weekend and I wouldn't want to keep you from screwing around with someone's hard earned money.:finger:

BTW you must have missed the course, Shilling 101. You shouldn't appear only when Sportbet is mentioned. You have to participate a little more in the forum ya know, then pop up to flame someone who says something bad about Sportbet ;) That's a freebie for you there but I do agre with you on one point this thread is about Mansion so my apologies SportSavant and fellow posters.

Someone Should Hang A Price On Whether This Book Survives The Current Football Season.
This book has some SERIOUS money behind it, so if you see a price you should get all over it...

Imagine that, Go2guy still doesn't offer any evidence. Instead thinks that I work for Sportbet. Will someone please tell him what my IP address is so he can put his conspiracy theories to bed. Not only that, but if you weren't so lazy, you could do a search of all my posts and clearly see I have no relationship with Sportbet or any other sportsbook. Never have, can't imagine that I ever will. More importantly, you have zero creditability and this is what your sad life has amounted to. Congrats and good luck.

I have asked some people about Mansion. Although I cannot vouch for the veracity of the reports on this new sportsbooks, this is what I have heard:

As Bert says, there are rumors about Mansion being an operation set to conquer the American and the European markets. This opeartion would be backed up by a huge ASIAN GIANT, a powerhouse with extremely deep pockets.

If this is true, it makes perfect sense for them to go after:

1. Pinnacle, the top sportsbook in the American market. That would be why they're offering -105.

2. Betfair, the top sports exchange on this side of the planet. That would explain the exchange at no commission

How can they afford to lose money offering lines like the ones they have been offering? I'd speculate that if this rumor is true, MANSION is the anticipated response of the Asian tigers to the Pinnacle and Betfair models, who will eventually move into Asia.

Now, if they want to enter the market and be worthy of consideration by the players, they need to disrupt the existing models that have been proven to make money. That's probably why they're offering a 10 cent line (-105/-105, the juice is not being manipulated yet) and an exchange at 0% of commission.

I believe the -105 and the 0% are simply a marketing move; as soon as they reach critical mass, the 10 cent line will present an asymmetrical straddle, just like Pinnacle... quite possibly, they will even try to offer a way to "middle" Pinnacle.

When it comes to the Sports Exchange, if they already have a huge volume generated by the Asian market, they have an advantage over BetFair, that can't still claim they own the Asian market.

How is this of benefit to the players? For shrewd players that understand numbers, this is an invitation to become active members of this new book and CASH a lot of winning tickets at the early stages of this company.

If this analysis on my part is true, these guys have the vision to become really big. However, the only way they can compete is if they really are backed by these Asian giants. I believe they should also look for an EXTREMELY SHARP TEAM OF ODDMAKERS and LINE MANAGERS.

Good luck to those who play with them and let's hope they are not a flight-by-night shop... after all, it would make no sense whatsoever that they set shop in Gibraltar if they are out to scam only.

Walk - thanks much for the update. I certainly hope you are correct. Your'e post makes sense when you think of why Mansion would choose to advertise here.

Hope all is well with you and the family.

Wilheim, my man;

I just read what I wrote... that *shite* looks almost factual. My apologies guys, please remember this rant I just posted is based on rumors. For all I know, I can be really off.

But it would certainly make a lot of sense.

Family is good, my man. I have been going through big changes, yet once again... I keep on walkin'... :blueguy:

Be well, brother!

Guys, I was just reading one of Drunkguy's post about Mansion and what I wrote about the book.

I just wanna say that in no way am I touting for this new shop; I'm not saying this will be a good book, I was just thinking about why these guys are possibly doing this. My previous post on Mansion was all mere speculation.

For those sharp players that can manage risk, this is a situation they can take advantage of for the next 2-3 months. But I'd never recommend anybody to play with a book that has not been tested by time.

One thing that really concerns me about these guys, is the lack of skills at the helm. If they plan to take on Pinny, they better have somebody with brains and balls, otherwise this is simply a pinata... To hit or not to hit is the question and the answer is only positive if you are able to manage risk.

GOD DAMN THESE GAMES IRRITATE ME SOMETIMES....

Apparently the zero vig/zero commission is an initial promotion (instead of sign-up bonuses etc.) to get people used to the exchange. At a later time a small commission may be introduced. They did say it would run for at least the NFL regular season though.

Take a look at

Crystal Palace +1.5 (-103) over $25k available
Aston Villa -1.25 (+103) available elsewhere (-1.25 means -1 & -1.5)

Play both sides if Villa win by one your overall profit is 50% of your stake (i.e. $12.5k if you took the full $25k).

Not that I condone that sort of thing. </TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE>

I want to have a bet with someone on how long this book will last!

Gibraltar don't make me laugh!

A few of the posts in this thread imply that Gibraltar is some sort of well regulated & tightly controlled financial centre.

This is NOT the case. Gibraltar is the European equivalent of Panama or Columbia.

If this is a fly by night operation, rest assured the Gibraltar "regulators" will stand by and watch them fly.

As I have said in a previous post, if they wanted regulatory credibility, the UK was the place to set up like Canbet & Betfair. I might post up some cash there as the lines are so good, but I will not be going in deep - no way.

According to Ian Davies Mansion is backed by an Indonesian tobacco tycoon called Sampoerna. The money on the exchange is obviously mansion's, not customers. Exactly what their plans are is unclear -- a free exchange is not a viable long-term business.

Various press releases, all very similar.

While most guys out there try to play smart with all their so called smart linesmen, etc. He simply bets straight! More guys should follow his example!
