Honestly, would you be surprised if this guy were guesser?

He believed in the same idiotic crap and was convinced he was standing up for "truth" and against "traitors" and "hate".

Seriously, when you read the guy's Facebook post, how different is that from what the left wingers here say?

Not at all, of course.

I think it's a sad testimonial to where we are in this country. I personally think the media and social media have a large degree of culpability for this. What else can I think when you have newspapers (The New York Times) throwing financial support to a play depicting the assassination of a President and essentially claiming it's no big deal (sick and pathetic). The "hate factor" has been ratcheted up tenfold since when I was growing up. And I suspect you'll find that most of the people that scream about their first amendment rights are typically the one spewing hatred. There is a line here, and when things get taken to a point like this, it's been crossed. And then after all of this, the first thing some politicians do is try to politicize it with their gun control nonsense. The bullshit never ends.

When dimocrap news outlets talk, literally every single day...all day and all night long, about how Republican policies are intended to kill the population, starve children, steal from the poor, push wheelchaired grandmothers off the cliff...

When Kathy Griffin hold up Trump's severed head, when dimocrap comedians joke about raping Sarah Palin's daughter...

Its no wonder that shit like this happens.

Fyi, dimocraps...if you really believe conservatives want to kill you, I have news for you: it would already have been done a long time ago.

[h=2]Trump kicks off the Congressional Baseball Game as hero cop who saved Steve Scalise throws the first pitch and Ivanka joins the crowd a day after Donald-hating gunman targeted Republicans[/h]
article-4609314-4175494800000578-272_964x509.jpg
President Trump was at Thursday's Congressional Baseball Game in spirit, giving a short video address before play began, as his daughter Ivanka Trump worked the crowd. The game didn't shy away from the Wednesday morning attack with hero cop, David Bailey of the Capitol Police throwing out the first pitch. As an homage to Bailey and Crystal Griner, the two officers shot defending the GOP lawmakers practicing for the game, the U.S. Capitol Police ceremonial unit was charged with handling the presentation of colors for the game. The Congressional Chorus sang the National Anthem. The game began with both Republicans and Democrats huddling in prayer. When the players' names were called, Scalise's was announced last, as the congressman remains in critical condition requiring additional operations from the single gunshot wound he took to the left hip.

  • The Annual Congressional Baseball Game went ahead as planned on Thursday night in Washington, just one day after five people were injured in a shooting on a Republican practice session in Virginia on Wednesday
  • One of the two hero cops who helped rescue Steve Scalise and other GOP lawmakers threw out the first pitch
  • Ivanka Trump, Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin and Energy Secretary Rick Perry were all seen in the crowd

President Trump was at Thursday's Congressional Baseball Game in spirit, giving a short video address before play began, as his daughter Ivanka Trump worked the crowd.
'By playing tonight you are showing the world that we will not be intimidated by threats or acts of violence,' Trump said. 'I know you will all be playing tonight extra hard for Steve,' the president added, speaking of Rep. Steve Scalise who was wounded Wednesday morning when a gunman shot at lawmakers and aides practicing for this evening's game.

Capitol Police Special Agent David Bailey (L), who was wounded in yesterday's shooting, is hugged by former MLB player Joe Torre before throwing the first pitch ahead of Wednesday's game

Congressional leadership: Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, House Speaker Paul Ryan and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi yelled out, 'let's play ball!'
Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, Energy Secretary Rick Perry, Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta, Commerce Secretary Gary Cohn and White House aide Omarosa Manigault were also on hand.
Yesterday, the two team captains, Rep. Joe Barton, R-Texas and Rep. Mike Doyle, D-Pa., told the country that the game would go on, despite Wednesday's horrific events at an Alexandria, Virginia, practice park.
'We are united, not as Republicans and Democrats, but as United States representatives,' Barton told the swarm of reporters.

His Democratic counterpart, Doyle, chimed in saying, 'Joe and I talked and we've decided that we're not going to let incidents like this change our way of life or our daily routines.'
'We're going to go on and play the ball game,' Doyle added.
The Texas Republican also confirmed that Scalise would not be playing, as the congressman 'was critically injured and remains in critical condition,' according to a tweet from the hospital.
'Congressman Scalise will not play tomorrow night since he was shot this morning,' Barton said.
'And I did tell Doyle that it would only be fair that the Louisiana Democrat shouldn't also play, it happens to be their best pitcher, Cedric Richmond,' the congressman continued, trying to get a laugh in during what's been a raw day in Washington.
'But Mike says [Richmond] loves this and he wants to show support, but that's asking too much,' Barton added.
Doyle, the Democrat, wished Scalise well. 'Hopefully, he'll be able to watch the game on television if C-SPAN's televising it,' he suggested.
After the game got underway, the Washington hospital released a statement providing an update on Scalise's condition.

Rep. Joe Barton (right) said, 'We are united, not as Republicans and Democrats, but as United States representatives'

'Earlier today, Congressman Steve Scalise underwent a second surgery related to his internal injuries and a broken bone in his leg,' it read.
'He remains in critical condition, but has improved in the last 24 hours. The Congressman will require additional operations, and will be in the hospital for some time.
'At the request of the family, we will continue to provide periodic updates.'
Every year the game pits Republicans versus Democrats, with members often sporting the uniform of their home states' teams, for a night of bipartisan fun that raises money for charity.
With two Capitol Police officers, Crystal Griner and David Bailey, taking bullets while defending members of Congress and their staff, Barton said organizers decided to add an additional charity to the list of those the game would benefit: The Fallen Officers Fund.

Sen. Rand Paul (center), shown at the 2014 game that pits Republicans versus Democrats, gave some of the most harrowing commentary on the Wednesday morning shooting

The benefit, which has taken place in Nationals Park since 2008, also raises money for a variety of D.C. charities.
The decision to play was bipartisan, Doyle said.
'Players on both sides want to do that, they think it's the right thing to do,' the Pennsylvania Democrat told reporters.
'I did tell Joe that I love him before the game, and I love him after the game, but during the game, we're going to play to win and I know Joe's team is going to do the same thing and charities are going to benefit,' Doyle said, adding a dab of smack talk.
Similarly to how the presidential election turned out, Republicans routed Democrats for the first time in many years in 2016, winning the game by one run.
The game itself goes back to 1909.
'This is a game that has been played off and on for approximately 100 years,' Barton said.
Presidents are a rare sight at the game and with the heightened security risk, President Trump won't attend.
President Obama, however, showed up in 2015 – before an important trade vote – and brought two dozen beers, brewed at the White House, to gift to the winning team.
The Democrats won that year.
Obama memorably cheered as Republican presidential candidate, Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., struck out
It was Paul who shared some of the most harrowing details from the shooting Wednesday.

Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., is seen shortly after the shooting took place at a GOP baseball team practice in Alexandria, Virginia

'There was a rapid succession of shots, you know five or 10 shots,' Paul said Wednesday morning on MSNBC. 'In the field, I see Representative Scalise is shot by moving, and he's trying to drag himself through the dirt and out into the outfield.'
Paul also told reporters that had it not been for Scalise's security detail, he's the No. 3 Republican in the House, they'd likely all be dead.
'Had they not been there it would have been a massacre, because there's no escaping a guy you know if he's got several hundred bullets and we had no weapons and no place to hide,' the Kentucky Republican said.
'So if he would have advanced on the rest of us there would have been no chance, the only chance we had was that the shots were returned by the Capitol Hill police,' Paul said.
Besides wounding Scalise and the two officers, an aide, Zachary Barth, and a lobbyist, Matt Mika, were also hurt by the gunman, who has since died.
At the presser Thursday, Doyle echoed Paul.
'Had Steve's personal detail not been there on the field with him, this could have been much, much worse, and even as they were being shot, they continued to fire and bring [down] that gunman,' the Pennsylvania Democrat said.
Barton and Doyle also talked about the toxic political position the country is in and what they could do to resolve it.
'Members are not looked at as people anymore, we're kind of looked at as – I won't say targets – but people think they can come to our town hall meetings and say just the most obnoxious things and we not feel it personally,' Barton said.
'But I can assure you, every member of Congress is a person, he has family, and while we try not to show it, sometimes we do take it personally,' the Tea Party Republican added.
Doyle added that he's watched Barton's son Jack, and considers his Republican counterpart a family friend.
Baseball, they both pointed to, as a past time that has helped members bridge the partisan divide.
Now they want to do more.
'You know, it shouldn't take an incident like this to bring us together,' Doyle said. 'But Joe and I have been reflecting a lot lately just on how we can still maintain our principles and our legislative agendas, but we could do it in a more civil way.'
'And when the leadership of this country is civil towards one another, maybe the public will start being civil toward one another, too,' he added.
Doyle suggested they start at dinner.
'Tonight we want to be together,' Doyle said. 'I just suggested to Joe that we would like to host the entire Republican team down at the Democratic club, probably some of them have never stepped foot in that building.'

'I've been in one time,' Barton replied, jokingly adding he'd bring a 'food taster.'
More seriously, the lawmakers discussed their safety, with Barton saying that he felt safe and made the decision to run for Congress in the first place.
'Nobody puts a gun to our head and says we have to run,' the Republican inserted.
Doyle hinted that when members of Congress gather in large groups maybe in the aftermath of Wednesday's shooting, security should be increased.
'I bet you most members of congress would tell you they don't want any personal detail, I certainly don't. I've never felt unsafe here or in Pittsburgh,' he began.
'But I do think, you know, when you have a situation where you've got 20, 30, or 40 members of Congress all in the same place, in an area that is completely open to anybody just walking through, perhaps we should maybe rethink that a little bit,' he continued.
'But I think from a personal standpoint, most members will tell you they feel find and they're not looking for any security,' Doyle added.
