I think its wrong to assume the team has quit just because they aren't getting results. I don't think the situation with the players is a huge issue. The caretaker boss Joe Kinnear appears to have given the team some stability and there is no real reason for a player to quit on the team at this point. It appears likely whoever buys Newcastle will re-install Kevin Keegan so the beat will go on.
Man City is still a work in progress, they need several more top quality players to become a legit top 6 team. The only significant addition to the team that was quite average last year is Robinho. That is nowhere near enough to make a huge difference.
Personally think Newcastle will be a tough out tonight and the odds are completely overestimating Man City and underestimating Newcastle. There is no way Man City wins this match over 40% of the time.
Is that why City won 4 out of 5 recent ones and last two Away as well?
True its not going to be easy today for either side here,but the table and recent encounters don't lie and City is the better side here today.
