No reason to blame injuries as Lakers also played without Bynum who would have done a much better job on TD then Gasol.

You know - I really thought LA was going to emerge as a dynasty - I was depressed after the loss - I thought LA had just flat out passed us - then they come out and get absolutely anal raped by the C's - LA looked like they had no business being the finals - this would have never happened to SA - Manu being hurt was the difference.

They win it all next year. Lakers got lucky with the bogus call this year.

Then again the refs could decide who plays in the championship again so who knows.

The NBA hired an Army General to oversee the officials - it's pretty obvious what was going on and it's pretty obvious the league wants to make it clear that the games will no longer be fixed - they also lowered some of LA's banners - did not remove them - just lowered them so they are barely visable.

Everyone down on LA b/c they got beat by a better team in the finals. It's clear that Boston was the better team.

"This would have never happend to SA"

Really?
But it did happen a series before... Not once, but twice when they gave up 2 20 points leads in critical games. Kind of how LA lost the series on a game 4 second 1/2 meltdown.

Like I said no reason to talk about injuries when Bynum did not play at all.

Fisher shot hit the rim...

Nice try blaming the refs... Face it your team lost to the "10th best team in the NBA"...

The refs did not help SA but we were going to lose without Manu regardless - but the Kings beat LA and the Suns got far worse treatment - it was so obvious that the games were fixed - but hey, the ref already admitted they were told to make sure LA wins - but he's a liar - just like Conseco

how comes old is the only person making any sense in this thread.

1. Who pulls the career stats of a three year player who is 20 years old. That argument was horrible. Especially sense the kid had a decent shot of making the all-star team last year.

2. How when you lose to a team 4-1 in the round before and they get beat bad by the celtics you say oh we would have done better. HAHA. Against the celtics the spurs would have went down just as bad.

3. Maggette is the starting small forward now. And thats better then a two headed monster in the lane. Spurs fans should know better than anybody a two headed monster in the lane is huge. Especially with the best player in the game as the shooting guard.

lakers were the better team, plain and simple... and if you think the spurs were beating the c's you're on crack, boston was playing their best ball of the year when the finals rolled around.

I don't know what to think of Boston - they can play d and they certainly peaked at the right time

allen wasn't their best player, but he was the key... they're almost impossible to beat when he's on, and he was the last dozen games or so.

Might not be a 2 headed monster but I think that might be the best PF/C combo in the league. Best front court in the league when you add Odom at SF.

IMO, LA lost to Boston B/C they had absolutely no one who could come close to guarding PP. PP controlled and took over the game the way thought Kobe would do.

They both will average a double double next year. God forbid injuries. Thats a two headed monster in my opinion. Gasol slows down when he has to play defense but with Bynum taking care of that Gasol can go to work. But I dont think odom is there next year.

I am on your side and think they will dominate. 2 legit 7 footers playing at the same time is very hard to defend...

Either Odom will be there or they will trade someone who is better fit at 3. I am all about trading Odom for a SF who can create his own shot and play some D...

give celts alot of credit. biggest thing for them was the long layoff between the eastern conf finals and the start of the finals. that team was dead tired. had a week to get their legs back.

Honestly I don't see Maggette making that much of a difference. I thought the Spurs were the best team in the West last season, and I think they will be again this season, but it isn't because of Maggette. He's a good player, but not a difference maker.

I also don't understand why everyone think the Lakers will steamroll every team this year because they have Bynum and Gasol to go with Kobe. Kobe is great, no doubt about it, and Gasol is very good, but he is still too soft. Bynum needs more than a half a season of good basketball to be talked about as a huge difference maker. I only see him making a small impact next season. Laker fans that have been saying they could win 70 games next year will be extremely disappointed.

Boston has a better PF/C combo and front court with Garnett/Perkins and then Garnett/Perkins/Pierce.

Orlando has a better PF/C combo and front court with Howard/Turkoglu and then Howard/Turkoglu/Lewis.

Then you have wildcard combos that you could say will be better than Gasol/Bynum this season in teams like Toronto and Portland. Bosh/O'Neal is a better combo IMO, and although they're young, so could Aldridge/Oden possibly be better this season.

Disagree completly... Perkins and Turkolglu are avg players at best.

Bosh O'neal will be very good but think O'Neal will miss 40 games as usual.

Hard to see how good LA FC is since they have not played together but I think you will be surprised.

i agree lakers aint winning no 70 games. Thats a fact. But like you said you thought spurs was the better team last year but u was wrong. Lakers were the best team in the west. Now they have bynum and Gasol and you still think Spurs are better ok. I love the franchise and the players for the spurs. But there center is weak. There hall of Famer power foward is getting up there in age. Micheal Finley couldnt guard me anymore. The team is old and they will get beat 4-1 by the lakers next year again. Spurs is the fourth best team in the west next year. Behind jazz, hornets, and lakers.
