Lymphatic Massage

I recently went to a massage school to get a lymphatic massage by a certified massage therapist. She mentioned that the lymphatic system removes toxins from our cells yet it has no pump like the heart. Stress can cause the muscles to trap lymphatic fluid in the muscular structures. Lymphatic massage helps move the lymph fluid along which helps move the toxins out of the system.

Some of the results of a lymphatic massage (according to the massage therapist) is frequent urination, large bowel movements and strange dreams. I guess the strange dreams are a result of toxins being released in the body before being filtered out and eliminated. Boy was she ever correct about these results. My urine was bright yellow and I had strange dreams. I'll spare you the details about other results.

I would highly recommend a lymphatic massage to remove toxins from your body.

Here is an interesting article that describes the function of the lymphatic system:

Sounds like an excellent massage, QuantumLeap(even without a happy ending) :howdy:

I've read a few minutes on the inversion table will also stimulate Lymph flow; which, like you said, good for overall toxin removal. I love my inversion table, wouldnt like to be without it.

I see you're in AZ now, must be rough.

No happy ending here. It's not a handjob massage place.

I'm just vacationing in AZ. Grandma Leap lives here and I have friends who live here from when I lived here. I'm still not sure if I'm off to Boston after the 1st of the year or back to OC. I hope to find out soon.

That inversion table sounds interesting. I would imagine that when you are inverted, the toxins in your lymphatic system that are trapped in a certain area are released since the lymph fluid flows backward. Interesting.

Any strange dreams to tell us about?

Yeah, I'm glad you asked. Although not very interesting unless you actually had the dream.

The first night I dreamed that I was in an elevator and as it was going down it turned sideways, trapping me inside. In one of the hotels I stayed in the elevators make weird noises so I guess I have an elevator phobia and it manifested itself in my dream.

The second night I had a dream that I was flying in a helicopter with a record producer who resembled Al Pacino in "The Devil's Advocate" (as the Devil). There was another helicopter with Dwight Yocum, the country singer, in it. Both helicopters flew upside down. I held on to the railing so I wouldn't fall out but poor old Dwight fell out and on to the top of his house, killing him.

Then I was in a car with Pacino's daughter and her boyfriend. I was told by someone that Pacino's daughter was about to be killed and I would have to tell her boyfriend the news. My brother and I were transporting human hearts in plastic bags as we walked back to the car where the boyfriend was.

:103631605 Sweet dreams are made of these.
As if you don't have that Pacino dream every night.
A few glasses of grapefruit juice usually does the trick for me.
Have to put some Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart on the Victrola now.

I felt better almost immediately after the massage. However, later in the day I felt like I had simple aches and pains. I assume that is the effect of the toxins going throughout the body.

how much does it cost?

I went to a school of massage therapy in Arizona. At this place a massage by a student is $30 for an hour and a massage by a certified massage therapist is $40 for an hour. Prices may be different depending on where you go.
