Tough luck in the satellite, 7500 starting chips and it's a turbo format so blinds get real high relative to starting stack within like an hour.

112 entrants, 90 or so left, average stack is just under 10k. I have 19k and am leading my table.

Last hand before the break I'm UTG. I'm needing a cigarette so I look at my cards with every intent to fold and look down at JJ. Blinds are 400/800, I raise to 2400. Folds around to one of the shorter stacks on the button who shoves 5500 more. I call and he has J7o. Flop comes 456, turn 8. River jack just as some cruel poker god joke I guess.

So I'm down to about 12k, we go on break, come back and blinds are at 500/1k. I fold the big and small so I now have about 10k, so 10 big blinds. I'm on the button and that same fuck that called me with J7 opened the pot to 3k from 2nd position. Folds to me, I look down at AK and shove, he calls and flips up K5 of spades. 2 spades on the flop and then he hits a 5 on the turn, I'm out the door.

Will try again one more time same time tomorrow night. These Latinos are fuckin crazy, I know I can do well here I just need my hands to hold up.

I played in day 1N for a final chance to get through to day 2.

250 players, 30 advanced, I came in 33rd. Had plenty of chips to fold to the next day but busted out when I shoved from the button with AK and the big blind (who had me covered) woke up with aces. The bubble burst 3 hands later.

Sat with multiple pros at my table all day and night long and I'm proud I was able to hold my own.

If I could turn back time I keep telling myself I should have folded the AK but that is so hard to fold when every blind steal was worth 18k and the average stack was only 120k (I had 80k). I could have min-raised and then what, folded when the BB shoved? I dunno, tough spot.

Overall very disappointed but also proud, I played well.

Played in the $220 turbo last night, 43 players I came in 5th and cashed like $600.

Playing in the $300 NLHE today at 3pm.
