Los Angeles will take a short hop to Anaheim on Friday and return home on Saturday to entertain the Coyotes. This is an ideal opportunity for the Kings to knock off two weak sisters in their quest to overtake Vegas for the top spot in the Pacific Division and put a little daylight between themselves and their two nearest challengers, Seattle and Edmonton.
The Kings have won five of their last seven contests and have also had the luxury of a long rest since their 5-2 victory over the Sabres on Monday night. Meanwhile, the Ducks have gotten pounded over their last three games, getting outscored 20-7 in those contests, including a 7-3 loss on Wednesday to the same Buffalo Sabres that the Kings beat up two days before.
This should be an easy one for the Kings and we won’t hesitate to lay the lumber.
