I get it. People need to get back to work and business on life support need to re-open. I have clients and friends who're just as effected and i'm hoping things turn around for them.

What I don't get is why protests in open carry states people come out with their guns and in some cases multiple guns. What was the point? They're protesting the stay at home orders. Help me understand why they felt they had to come out w/ fully strapped? Not being sarcastic here. Did they honestly think they were gonna use em?

Look I'm registered here in Cali with my fire arms to protect my home. I've been in a handful of protests back in my college days. But not a single instance makes me feel if I was able that I'd bring my guns out to a protest. For what? Because I'm gonna fire at the police? I just don't get it.

I can't disagree - bringing a gun to a protest just seems like it could south real quick

Fuck yea! Itchy trigger fingers? High tension environment? The police aren't given enough credit here. If one persons gets shot on either side, it'll get catastrophic.

And that's what i'm really trying to get at here. Are those protesters out there really intending to use it? They're protesting stay at home orders. Who the fuck were they gonna shoot, the Virus?

They're following in the footsteps of the Black Panther protests on capital steps that started in the 60s. The methods these protesters used were so powerful, they got the Civil Rights Act and they got Governor Ronald Raegan and the NRA to pass restrictive gun control laws in California:

Trying to be clear here. You're telling me protesters TODAY are bringing their guns to protests because of what the Black Panthers did in the 60's?

Maybe because it goes hand in hand with self defense against ones own government and not just simply to protect yourself against every day citizens. It may be a visual statement to the government and what they are doing

We have a Democrat governor, & yes, all construction was shut down for 5 weeks I believe. We just had phase 1 of opening up, & I think phase 2 is this coming weekend, not sure.

I'm pretty sure restaurants & bars will be the last phase, like end of May, start of June.

there's my point. This whole thing was/is about staying at home and wanting business to open up. Where the fuck on earth did gun restrictions and 2nd amendment rights come into play? Or did you people decide to make that up on your own for your faux outrage?

- Protest Stay at home. = Need to protect 2nd amendment rights just in case?

You make zero sense.

I think what these men with rifles & guns were saying.....they have the 2nd amendment, which they will use in the face of governmental restrictions of their freedoms as American citizens. It was a show of power against a governor that is showing dictatorial oppression.

These men will probably die for their freedom & civil liberties, they're not playing around .......they see the freedoms we all have as American citizens are being stripped away slowly, & this pandemic is an excuse for politicians to push their agendas at stripping away those rights.
