Thomas Jones needs to shut the f**k up. Brett Favre's appearance made Jones a career season. Last year he had 1 touchdown.....1!!!!! This year 13!!

If Favre doesn't come back...Thomas Jones....welcome back to 3 Tds a season!!

You are telling me that Clemens gave the jets a better winning option? Please!

It's a fair assessment to say Favre had a terrible last few games BUT he had an amazing year last year and put the Jets in a position to return to the playoffs this year.

It's funny how all the cockroaches come out of the shadows to criticize the guy after they lose when they could've said it to his face throughout the year. How would they have done this year without Brett Favre? Better yet, how would the Packers have done with him? I say the Pack would've won the division but that's just my opinion.

agree totally with this post. as a long suffering jet fan, i appreciate how much improved the jets were this year (4-12, vs 9-7) at least there was something to root for this season. favre gave them a shot in the arm. he had very little protection and its amazing he's still standing after all the shots he took. chad would prolly broken in half. the jets suck, and all of those bitches can whine like girls, but how many superbowl rings do they have? if you remember namath (most jet fans look at him as their hero) he threw tons of ints, his stats did not tell his story as he had a shitty team most of his career, and got hit every time he backed up to pass. lay off farve, at least he has heart, unlike 99% of the team.they're crying because he won't socialize with them? puleeze, clean your vaginas and put in a new tampon:ohno:

As a big GB fan and a fan of #4 I see that Brett is very full of himself these days. He reminds me of Barry Bonds with his own office where he can be by himself. I would not be happy as a teammate of his. I can see the resentment by the players as if "they should be happy" that they have the great one on their team. I am so tired of his schtick. Hold another team hostage so they cannot work on the future. GB did it right even though they had a down year.

Talking with crazy Favre fans in the last few weeks I see an actual disappointment in their words when talking about him. Not only because he left GB but the same old story over and over again with him, retiring or not. He will hold another record that should be how many times a player retired and came back.

I am done with #4. I only hoped the Jets went far into the playoffs so GB would get better compensation.

If you had a star player like Favre although private doesn't destroy the team like Terrell Owens and takes his team from 4-12 to 9-7 in one year would you really care what he does? If you were winning games would you really care if he sat in his own office? If he was winning you games WTF would you care if he ate dinner with the team or not? Hell, G. Arenas plays online poker at halftime but you don't see his teammates bitching do you? As long as the guy wins and as long as he showed up to team meetings and practices etc. I wouldn't give a shit what he did in his down time.

The switch from Pennington to Farve reminds me of what the Mets did about 12 years ago. All the Met fans were going nuts over getting the all-star Carlos Baerga from Cleveland in exchange for a young Jeff Kent.
Mike & the Mad Dog swore it was a steal.
Cleveland knew Baerga was finished just like Green Bay knew Farve was a shell of his former self.

Was he a shell of his former self after last year's performance? The guy took the Packers one game away from the playoffs and now look at them. Good move GB.

Favre was one of the all time great QB's. Now however He is really just average. The Jets made a huge mistake in signing Favre and letting Pennington go. People make such a big deal about how much the Jets have improved but seem to forget that 1-15
Dolphins won the division led by none other than Chad Pennington who is certainly in the conversation for MVP. The Jets made a lot of off season moves and nobody can say for certain what their record would have been with Pennington. I just happen to believe that they would have been a very improved club no matter if Farve or Pennington was QB.
I loved Favre being a life long Packer fan going clear back to the Vince Lombardi teams but I have to admit that I grew very tired of his antics of the last 3 years regarding his selfish attitute that He was the team. He pretty much held the Packers captive by not announcing whether or not He would play until after the player draft. Then this year He outdid himself and most Packer fans aren't in his corner anymore. The Packers and Dolphins are long term better off with Favre now being a Jet problem.
I am still a Packer fan but am I still a Favre fan ? Simple answer for me ... No way ! The Jets with Favre next year will only get worse. The Jets if they could only still have Pennington would be awesome ! JMHO

LOL yeah he took them all the way untill he gave the game away. Just like how he gave the fins the game. 2 of those interceptions he had no excuse. Why oh why do people defend him to the end.

If he is hurt he needs to not play. Clements would have done a better job than he did. 2 tds and 9 int's down the stretch. LOL

Clements played last year and sucked ass so how would he have done a better job? I would much rather have a guy take my team to 1 game away from the Super Bowl than not make the playoffs at all.

I will NEVER forget that pass in the Giant game last year to end their run. There were 4 other people wide open and he chose to throw it to the one guy covered. He WAS great but his time has come.

The guy was:

#17 in the NFL in QB Rating of QB's with more than 12 starts
#11 in the NFL in total yards thrown of QB's with more than 12 starts
#13 in the NFL in yards thrown per game of QB's with more than 12 starts
#9 in the NFL in TD's thrown of QB's with more than 12 starts

He got them off to a great start and had a few bad games at the end but these numbers are far from washed up but he does need to take care of the ball more.

Nice that you left out the one stat that set him apart from the rest this year. He led the league in Interceptions and of course He was in the top 10 in fumbles also. Interceptions are why the Jets are on vacation and the Dolphins are in the playoffs ! I hope He tortures the Jets with his " I'm retiring... maybe... OK I'm back " BS !

Thomas Jones dissapeared like a fart in the wind down the stretch, he's got some set of balls to be talking any shit.

First 12 games of season (8-4 record)
233 attempts , 1088 yds , 13 tds , 4.7 avg ( 91 yds per game )
Last 4 games of season (1-3 record )
57 atts , 224 yds , 2 tds , 3.9 avg ( 56 yds a game )

Jones said Favre should have been benched for playing bad , Maybe Leon Washington should have replaced this crybaby who fell to pieces at the end of the year.

Favre will make the Hall of Fame but he's by far the biggest choker that will ever be elected. The only time he took the Packers to a Super Bowl title he was lucky Desmond Howard was on the team... choked against the Broncos the next year, threw six interceptions against St. Louis in a playoff game, threw an idiotic interception that cost them a game against Philadelphia in the playoffs and he never could beat Aikman and the Cowboys. I knew he'd fuk up the Jets season somehow. At least the Packers get a third-round draft choice for him...took the Jets to the cleaners.

Maybe teams got smart, took away the run, and made Favre beat them.

The issue isn't really about Thomas Jones... who really knows or cares anything about him. It's Favre who simple must be in the headlines year in and year out ! Most of us are tired of his repetitive act ! Go home and milk the cows or something. Ride your tractor into the sunset ! enough !

Jones made the issue about himself when he opened up his fucking mouth. Favre didnt point fingers at the end of year. He shouldered the blame (litterally - MRI said he had a bad shoulder!!)

You know the other teams in his division are praying the old gunslinger comes back one more year. What was it, 2 TD's and 9 INT's in his last 5 games? Can you say choke? Three alone in the biggest game of the year, the last one, he must have thought it was a playoff game as badly as he played. Watching the old egomaniac running hysterically to try and save one from being returned for a TD was friggin' hilarious. Another year and another year of him leading everyone in football with the most picks thrown, never too late to add to his record as the alltime "leader", LOL. Stay tuned to ESPN boys, he's going to let us know if he will grace the Jets with another year some time this summer, I know the defensive backs around the league are praying he returns.
