Colo Colo -105 over Toluca 10 units BetCRIS
Again we find Colo Colo facing an inferior team in the Copa Sudamericana tournament. Toluca is in 5th place in the Mexican Primera Division but have a poor away form as they have only won 1 match on the road. They have 5 draws and 3 losses in their other road matches.

Those of you who have been following my Colo Colo posts know that this team is on a mission to win the Copa Sudamericana. They have been dominating the weaker competition beating Gimnasia 4-1 at home and 2-0 on the road. They also beat Alajeuelense 4-0 on the road and 7-2 at home.

Further evidence of their willingness to do well in this competition is the fact that they rested players this last weekend which resulted in a 3-2 loss to Italiano in Chile's Premier League. I tried to bet on Italiano this last weekend since Colo Colo traditionally rests players before a Copa Sudamericana match but very few books offered this match.

One important note, this match will be played at a neutral site since Colo Colo's fans threw concrete at Gimnasia's players during the 4-1 win. I would not suggest anyone bet this match at Pinnacle as their rules require that the full match be played in order to get a payout.

Ok, here is it QL:

1. With all the respect that you deserve, i think you guides have overrated Colo, and this team is not as good as you think they are. They beat ALAJUELENSE (who has never play at south america cup -first time they did- and in a middle of a crisis in their club -alajuela is one of my countrys team-, so in my opinion that were an easy match up for them. Also they beat GIMNASIA -not what I expected - but with GIMNASIA in a middle of a slump in their tournament and in the cup, nice win here by Colo Colo.

2. They are playing against Toluca, in my opinion a better team than Colo. Actually I think Mexican league is by far better than Chiles league, so the standings on their leagues its not a point of comparison for me and for both teams.

3. Toluca is managed by Americo "El Toro Gallego" (one candidate for managed the MEXICO NATIONAL TEAM), so in coaching Toluca has the edge. Gallego make good and warriors teams, he has been champion with NEWELLS, SAN LORENZO and RIVER in Argentina and TOLUCA in Mexico. He knows what it takes to make a championship team and he has proved it in the past (dont forget that he was also one candidate to coach ARGENTINAS NATIONAL TEAM) and he knows how to play in this instance.

4. Colo Colo is the first time that reaches semifinals in this cup and the second team from Chile to advance to semis. No team from Chile has ever go to a final in this cup. Mexicans teams are looking for their first title at South America and they have been close losing the previous two finals against Boca (Pachuca and Pumas). I dont think Colo Colo has the experience in this phase.

5. Colo Colo will not play at home as you point it and i think this is one serious reason cause its not the same to play at your stadium than playing in a neutral one.

Nevertheless my point here is that this game is not as easy as it looks, Gallego and Toluca knows how to play 180 minutes games and they are very good defensive team, so in my opinion Colo Colo will not win this one as easy as it looks, so that is a reason that im staying away (besides that you post on Colo Colo) Actually in Mexico i will put a large bet on Toluca, no doubt about it.

But I think Colo Colo could win this one by 1 or 2 (the under bet will not be a bad bet), but this game its not gonna be easy for them, maybe just maybe Toluca could get a good or great result (draw) and one advantage that you have on this bet is that TOLUCA will have two games in the same day (against Colo Colo and on their "LIGUILLA").

However, Gallego and Toluca said that their priority will be the South America cup and they are focus on this tournament.

GL QL!!!!!!

Good stuff Tr. Perhaps I underestimated the strength of the Mexican league vs. the Columbian league. I'll do some more checking.

Thanks for the input.

I'm seeing that Toluca beat San Lorenzo of Argentina 2-0 at home but lost 3-1 on the road. They advanced due to the fact that they scored one more goal on the road. San Lorenzo is on par with Gimnasia of the same league. We all know how they did against Colo.

It's tough to make comparisons between leagues based upon a few matches of cup play. However, I am seeing a bunch of mid-level teams from Argentina and Mexico all having similar success against each other while a top-level Colo has no trouble with the lot. That is my non-expert assessment of the situation.

San Lorenzo is one of the top teams and one of "the greatest" from Argentina, Gimnasia La Plata not. San Lorenzo has won this cup, Gimnasia not. Gimnasia is a mid-level team i think San Lorenzo is not. Gimnasia was in this cup because they did a great tournament in Argentina last year, actually they were second behind BOCA, but its one of those teams that do great tournaments every five years (if they manage to stay on the first division)

Its true, Colo Colo has face mid level teams and has won clearly all of them.

Toluca im still thinking, its not a mid level team, they are a very good team (the actual champion from Mexico), Colo Colo is not the champion from CHILES LEAGUE.

But Im looking forward to see this game and see if Colo Colo is the team that we all see in the previous games and how they manage against Toluca this thursday.

My advice is that you dont risk too much money on Colo Colo, for me its not as safe as it looks but at the end of this series we will see if Colo Colo is the team that seems to be.

GL bro!!!!

When was the last time San Lorenzo won the league? I see them as being tied for 5th last year (gave up more goals than they scored) and were tied for 4th the year before. I don't think it's always accurate to rely upon previous year's results to judge a team in the current year.

I agree with you that one should not bet a high amount on this game since it isn't always easy to judge the differences between the leagues.

My point is that Colo Colo has never faced (in this cup) a true good team.

San Lorenzo is one of the top teams from Argentina, for history, tradition and national-international titles. You dont see any title in Gimnasia La Platas history but you can check San Lorenzo "profile and history" in this link.

http://www.wsoccer.com/teams/argentina/san-lorenzo/index.htm

The last time they won the league was back in 2001 and the South America cup in 2002 (with Manuel Pelegrini as their coach, who is coaching Villareal in Spain right now) but they always are on top of their league and Gimnasia not.

I tailed you,Got Colo -0.5 @ -145.
Didn't want the -0.75 and perhaps get half push,
don't like these split odds and split/half return sometimes.
1-0 good for me ,keep it that way!
