Hey, look at the number of posts I've made. And I've been reading these forums on and off for over a year. NOW I create and account and started posting here and there, but mostly comments on running threads. I'm better at baseball than the other sports, so I rely on the advice of the veterans here (read: 1000+ posts).
For this guy to start this thread with "Lock of the Century" is just plain reckless, given his obvious lack of knowledge of the game. If he was being sarcastic, well, I missed it. He shouldn't have started a thread. Someone like me, in a hurry to pick a game, and trying to recover from a bad beat might have seen his post and said, "ooh - sounds good!"
It does pay to look at the number of posts someone has made before committing to a wager. This kid needs to read a lot more before posting anything.
That said, I thought Woody's responses were a little over the top. And I like his picks.
The main reason why I have been harsh on this guy is because there are always new guys joining these forums every day that don't have a pot to piss in, but are trying to make money by using their credit cards for depositing.
When one of these guys see a tread like this at 50 dimes, they figure this guy knows something that maybe others don't, and they throw $1000's on the game and now are in debt and don't know how they are going to pay the bills.
I called this dude out from day one, because he seems to love to antagonize others by his attention seeking treads, which should be posted in the rubber room.
This is a gambling forum and People are here to get information or opinions as to a persons pick. If one disagrees, it's easy to just ask a person why they like it so much.
But when one posts attention seeking treads like this one or the one about swinging on gators nuts, it proves nothing more than to say, "I'm an attention whore who loves to get under people's skin, so I can have a debate with them and jack them off.
I love to have fun here also, but when you post nonsense, you will get ragged on to no end. Besides, 90% of all posted Locks, go down in flames.
I hope Chow learned a lesson here, and continues to post plays and or opinions, but leave the sarcasm for the Rubber Room, with the rest of the nuts.:toast:
