Nice pick. But does that mean there won't be another "Lock of the Century" for at least 92 years?

Chow- I can't tell if you are laughing hysterically at all of this or pulling your hair out. Me? I am laughing hysterically! I always read the "lock of the century" posts and laugh. No one should take them seriously (certainly not one laced with the sarcastic overtones this one was) and if you base your betting on that type of post, you should reconsider whether or not sports betting is for you. That's my two cents. Fin.

Hey, look at the number of posts I've made. And I've been reading these forums on and off for over a year. NOW I create and account and started posting here and there, but mostly comments on running threads. I'm better at baseball than the other sports, so I rely on the advice of the veterans here (read: 1000+ posts).

For this guy to start this thread with "Lock of the Century" is just plain reckless, given his obvious lack of knowledge of the game. If he was being sarcastic, well, I missed it. He shouldn't have started a thread. Someone like me, in a hurry to pick a game, and trying to recover from a bad beat might have seen his post and said, "ooh - sounds good!"

It does pay to look at the number of posts someone has made before committing to a wager. This kid needs to read a lot more before posting anything.

That said, I thought Woody's responses were a little over the top. And I like his picks.
The main reason why I have been harsh on this guy is because there are always new guys joining these forums every day that don't have a pot to piss in, but are trying to make money by using their credit cards for depositing.
When one of these guys see a tread like this at 50 dimes, they figure this guy knows something that maybe others don't, and they throw $1000's on the game and now are in debt and don't know how they are going to pay the bills.

I called this dude out from day one, because he seems to love to antagonize others by his attention seeking treads, which should be posted in the rubber room.

This is a gambling forum and People are here to get information or opinions as to a persons pick. If one disagrees, it's easy to just ask a person why they like it so much.

But when one posts attention seeking treads like this one or the one about swinging on gators nuts, it proves nothing more than to say, "I'm an attention whore who loves to get under people's skin, so I can have a debate with them and jack them off.

I love to have fun here also, but when you post nonsense, you will get ragged on to no end. Besides, 90% of all posted Locks, go down in flames.

I hope Chow learned a lesson here, and continues to post plays and or opinions, but leave the sarcasm for the Rubber Room, with the rest of the nuts.:toast:

Look whose calling the kettle black.
I never said I was always right and I congratulated the other teams fans, and ate my crow when I lost. I was wrong about the Rays in the finals, but I also was right on about 90% of their games all year.
Win or lose, I also put a record in my tread everyday for others to see, so they can decide for themselves to follow or fade.

I ate crow when UF won as well. I apologize I wasn't scouring the board to respond to you calling me out at halftime (pathetic in itself) because I was at the actual game. After the 10th post, I still don't think you understand that. Don't jump on my back after admitting I was wrong and then bitch about people jumping on yours.

I'm sorry but if anyone took this post seriously, they deserve to lose their money. Reading comprehension is a great tool to have.

Not everyone can read through sarcasm, Chow. I'm with Woody - if you got something sarcastic to say, post it in the RR.

Geez, it's like something walking into the middle of a stock trading room and screaming, "I'M SHORTING GE!!!" The veterans will just look at you like you're nuts, and the n00bs will be thinking, "what does he know?"

Which is exactly what your post did here. And if Woody is on the money by saying you're just doing this for the attention, well, that's just sad.
