Are you referring to the guys who were calling the game on BTN? Because Gregory Kelser went to Michigan State and has been the Pistons color commentator for about 20 years. Wayne Larrivee (tonight's play-by-play announcer) has been the Packers play-by-play announcer for the past decade.
Neither of those guys have any ties to Minnesota nor any bias towards the University of Wisconsin. Perhaps you listened to the game on XM and got the home team's guys? And if that's the case - are you really surprised? Every fanbase has biased announcers. They wouldn't be employed if they didn't have a positive impact on both the game and the University as a whole.
