The Derby Prep Races hit full stride today. There are three of them carded:

Aqu /// 9th /// Gotham /// 4:56 Eastern
SA /// 6th /// San Felipe /// 5:27 Eastern
GP /// 14th /// Fountain of Youth /// 5:43 Eastern

Normally I'd for sure be at the track today but it's snowing like a bastard here and I don't feel like driving 30 miles north into New Hampshire into the eye of the storm.

o I'm here to get the $200.00 back I blew yesterday. It's probably not a good idea for me to handicap on Fridays because it's the last day of the week that I got up between 3:15 and 4:30 AM. By Friday afternoon my body and brain are pretty cooked. But handicap anyway 'cause I love it.

Another angle of mine comes up right here in the third. The #1 was just another also ran until they got him on the weeds after five uninspiring tries on the dirt. But he loved the turf and turned into a tiger. Right back.

Nope. Neither one good enough. Kudos to the track race analyst, Samantha Perry, who was fond of the first two finishers. Her best bet of the day, the #7 @6-1, got nipped right at the wire.
