Don't know how common this is, but I've seen "live betting" offered at a couple of sites (eg, Intertops), which will be available this weekend for the wildcard games. Essentially, there are bets throughout the game, including a moving line. (For all I know, this has been around forever, but it's fairly new to me.)
Point being, I'm wondering if anyone has any tips on approaching/using this. It seems like a great tool for middling, etc., or just hammering a play that becomes clear after a game starts.
Great example was this week during the USC-OKLA game. I don't really follow college ball, and didn't have any strong feeling one way or the other before the game. But a little ways in, it was obvious it was going to be USC's night, and I was able to hammer them at -6.5 when they were winning 21-7. Of course it's not always that easy, but seriously, that was like an ATM.
Has anyone figured out a systematic way to use this? Any thoughts would be appreciated.
