That one wasn't perfect, it was a .20 line that was off on each side. However, looking at other books and at the line movement, you can tell it was off towards Oakland. Should probably not be included.

So this should only be used if the lines are off by .30 cents or more? If so I think I kind of get it.

Just use Rule #2 on games where the lines are way off in favor of one side at Matchbook. The OAK-CWS game wasn't, it shouldn't be included, it was off on both sides. The BOS-DET game is an example of what you should do.

I should note that these games rarely happen.

RULE #3 - Watch 5Dimes

All books use .10 lines, except for Matchbook which is an exchange. However, in an exchange, you simply can't put down whatever bet you want. It has to be matched to be accepted.

There is one book (excluding Pinnacle's .08 lines) that feature lines less than .10 where your bet is instantly accepted. That's 5dimes, and that's only overnight.

If you're a professional bettor looking for the cheapest lines where you can put a large amount on one side and allow it to be accepted, you would go to 5Dimes, and you would bet overnight.

5Dimes changes overnight lines back to .10 around 9:00am EST. They frequently move the line in favor of one team as money has come in on this team overnight. Bet on that team.

Here's the PHI-SDG game (this would indicate a PHI bet)
06/03 12:20AM: +106 / -111
06/03 07:56AM: +100 / -110

Here's the CLE-MIN game (this would indicate a CLE bet)
06/02 11:53PM: -107 / +102
06/03 08:47AM: -114 / +104

Make sure the line move is significant. When the line moves 3 points in one team's favor, and 2 points in the other team's favor is not significant.

So I'm going to try and catch these myself and if I do, Hoosiers or Billhill, will get a pm from me to check and make sure I'm right. But maybe you guys should make a thread called 'Line Reading 101 Plays' to help us out until we fully understand it. Because we will pick up on it easier after being involved in several plays like it. I hope. If you will do this I will be thankful and I'm sure Funny will be too. good luck today guys

Post questions in the forums, I've had nothing but negative experiences with private messages.

I checked out 5Dimes and here's what I've seen from their nickel to dime movement:

LAA
NYY
MIN
TAM
MIL
COL
PHI

Watching Matchbook is more of a "before the game" type of thing.

Lean on PIT for the 12:30 games. PIT is +120 on BetJam yet +118 on Matchbook.

yesterday you were saying not to bother with 2 cent differentials.... and u also used the redsox example since it was -187 on matchbook and way less on the other sites, redsox were the play.... this example goes against both things u previously stated.....???:think2:

PIT closes at +116 on Matchbook but +123 on BetJam :103631605

ya... that goes against EVERYTHING u said last night... i didnt even play the game but ur confusing everyone... yesterday u said matchbook has the best lines for both sides, if they dont play that game... well if i was taking a dog id rather have +123 than +116.... so that goes against what u said last night
