The key to this game will be Seattle's ability to be balanced on offense. Hasselbeck's passing along with Alexander's rushing against a 49ers front four that is not physical will be the difference. They will likely hammer Alexander early to slow down SF's pass rush. That will open up the play action for Hasselbeck to pick apart the average SF secondary without Bronson.
Seattle's receivers should have a big day if SF blitzes like they did against Philly last week. Seattle has much better receivers than Philly.
Yes, the Seattle defense has been weak, especially on the road, however, they have been close to winning on the road twice recently in St Louis and Baltimore. Seattle will play 8 in the box on D often today to stop Barlow and Beasley. Seattle will make Garcia beat them with Lloyd, Streets and Wilson. With T.O. out, I dont think that trio can get it done.
If a team has any heart and has a reason to play today it is Seattle. Holmgren's job is on the line.
I just hope Hasselbeck and Darrell Jackson are able to play at decent levels with their injuries.
If so then I can see Seattle putting at least 35 on the board and SF being too one dimensional to keep up.
Prediction: Seattle 38 SF 30
