Maybe not a popular name to most, but Lawrence Dawsey..............The once heralded rookie receiver for the Tampa Bay Bucs who caught ANYTHING that was thrown his way.Man this guy was as close to be Cris Carter's clone as there was, his hands were just flat out made of glue........

Anyone remember running back Gary Anderson, a guy I've met, former Tampa Bay Bandit, San Diego Charger, and Tampa Bay Buc? What a phenomenal athlete this guy was. Any of you ever see the game where he dove into the end zone from about 5-6 yards out and easily landed over and in defenders?!
Sports Illustrated even had a page layout of the play frame by frame........

Did he share the Backfied with a back named Cobb? I vaguely remeber, because I used to live right outside of Tampa when I was very young.

Lawrence, you must be talking about Reggie Cobb. Just checked, yeah they were around at the same time.Bucs have had some nice running back throughout their existence, with Ricky Bell in the beginning of course, then James Wilder, who came within yards of breaking Eric Dickerson's total yardage record in one year at the time. Reggie Cobb, Gary Anderson, Warrick Dunn, among others. But........the one that no doubt would of been the greatest of all, not only for the Bucs, but possibly all time in my opinion, would of been Bo Jackson..........But he stiffed them after they selected him 1st overall.........:ohno: :sad3:
