Bottom line, Seattle played it wrong. Blame Bevell ( former Wisconsin qb) blame carroll, or blame Wilson, they all 3 fucked up collectively. When watching the play, pre snap, i assumed they were running left and that was it. They had man on man....Give me man on man and only needing dumbass to get a1 yard, I shoud win.

Wilson is still young and a "yes man" and if he doesn't have the power to call or change his own plays it basically means Seattle hasn't given him that power and fully trust him yet...........That said, Wilson could have called time out (clock was running) , change the play (clock was running for 30 seconds, throw the ball away, or run it himself and then call timeout if stopped.........If Brady was in same situation he would have called his own number if he didn't like the play......More of the blame is on Wilson since he is the one actually on the field and the one with the football in his hands and options..
It should also be noted the Seattle defense gave up 14 points in the 4th Quarter to put them in that situation, but somehow that is conveniently forgotten.

I'm going to suggest that Pete and the Seahawks called their game and played their game exactly as they planned.

I'm going to suggest he was the same coach at that very moment that he's been over the past decade of amazing success

Most importantly, I'm going to suggest that Seattle "game planned" for this for the last two weeks, and their decisions were not made in some vacuum

So I'll argue it's all about the execution, and not much about the call

What if Wilson ran out the clock at the end of the first half instead of scoring a TD? People would be arguing that he should have kicked a FG

I sometimes question what Belichick decides, or what Jim Calhoun would do, but at the end of the day I'm smart enough to know they're a lot better at the game than I am, and I ultimately supported each and every decision they ever made.

The "Hoodie" by not calling timeout caused that play.................Even though most probably thought he should have called timeout he actually won the game by not calling timeout.......He must have saw something or had great intuition not to call time out as it worked out for the Hoodie and his defense.

Pete can explain it himself

"There's no reservation in [the call], and don't make it out like there is," Carroll said Monday. "First off, Darrell is an incredible playcaller. He's done a fantastic job. We are so lucky to have him. He has been absolutely instrumental in what we have done. He is an awesome guy on our staff and crucially important to our future, as well.
"And let me say this, too. We don't ever call a play thinking we might throw an interception. I don't ever think that, just like [the 11-yard TD pass to Chris Matthews] with six seconds to go in the half. We go with what we know. There was not a thought in my mind that we would make a mistake on [the interception] play. It was a tremendous play by the guy on the other side."
Carroll went into detail about how the second-down call was part of a preplanned sequence.
"I was so confident we were going to get it done," Carroll said. "Making the call we made was just part of the sequence. We were very confident in the sequence. We had a very clear thought about what was going on.
"We thought about our personnel who were coming in the game after the first play [a 4-yard run to the 1 by Lynch on first down] when we came up short, with three wide receivers in the game [on second down]. We had thought about throwing the ball there. That was part of the reason we sent that group in. When [the Patriots] sent their goal-line guys in, I know we have the advantage on the matchups in the passing game."
Carroll said throwing the ball always was part of the plan.
"One of those downs we were likely to throw the ball and maybe two of those downs," Carroll said, "depending on how we had to save the clock to get in all of our plays. It wasn't just run the ball. That wasn't what the thought was."

I love it how the lying losing media is even trying to create a story about dissension on the Seahawk staff

too damn funny

Enfuego got fucked, so many different calls you could have made. Even if you stick with that call, everyone knows you don't throw it high. Who throws a 1 yard slant high into traffic? Has deflection written all over it especially from a short "qb".

Good point. The throw was a miss by the qb. Although he never should of had the opportunity to throw it. You put the ball in your best players hand in that situation.

Wilson believed in the play cause he obviously didn't change it, call timeout, throw the ball away and just did what he was told like a robot..........Russell should have been like (sorry, can't hear ya, technical difficulties) and run his own play or he could have called timeout and said coach, this play sucks (let's run another one).........He did none of that so Wilson believed in the play as much as the coordinator or he is either too scared to question his coach ever.

Are you a NFL QB and know that is how it goes down?
