Been getting really sick of the same old stuff over and over and over.

Lately it is either 97% lean hamburger or chicken on the grill. Getting really old. Not a big fan of tuna either.

I'll add one -

I like to just get some chicken breast and throw them in a bag with marinade from the store. Throw them on the grill and boil some red potatoes while the chicken is cooking. Throw some fat free butter and pepper on the potatoes and a nice tall glass of milk.

an easy favorite of mine -

gilled wild salmon fillet (can use any fish) over a bed of baby greens with a balsamic vinegar/olive oil dressing. I usually will throw in some avacado, maybe garbonzo beans, carrots, red onion into the greens.

if you use salmon make sure it is wild. typical store bought "Atlantic" salmon is one of the worst things you can eat (pcb's mercury etc.)

Found a nice quick little snack today.

Hormel makes 99% fat free chili with Turkey burger and I threw in some extra lean beef hot dogs. Takes about 10 minutes to heat up and its not bad for you. Eat it with a banana and a protein shake and its not a bad meal.

this works well
2 pieces of grilled lean pork marinade in caribean jerk sauce
2 cups of brown rice
cup of squash and Zuccini
I usually put the rice in a bowl and put the pieces of pork and vegs in there also.

Screw healthy meals. Eat what you want as long as it's in small portions. You'll get used to it real easy. Today all I've eaten is a 6 inch Subway tuna for lunch and a tiny burrito for dinner. Still tasty but after a week of changing to something like this you are completely filled up. Throw in a little walking to burn calories and you are set. If you want to build muscle that's another story cause you'll have to throw in some situps and pushups, but for losing weight it's pretty easy and you'd be surprised how simple it is to get used to. The only times I'm hungry are when I cheat and get like 3 burgers at Burger King. Then it'll take 3 more to fill me up a few hours later.

For late night snacking I have been eating 1oz beef jerky with a half or full non-sugar protein bar. To mix it up, I will substitute cheese and crackers for the protein bar. It's heavy on the protein, but that's what I heard is good before bedtime.

I mentioned this in another thread, but I will say it again. A great late afternoon snack is a Fuji apple (pealed) with your favorite yogurt. Love eating a cold crisp apple when it's hot out.
