I know it's his alma mater but Les' son plans to play football at Nebraska. That might be too close for conflict. My guess would be he's going to play dad for about 10 mil.

" LSU would be stupid to go after Briles. 1- he's old, 2- he's a scum bag." LMAO!!! You ever lived in Louisiana? Without any mental effort, I could reel off no less than a dozen crooked politicians from the state, Huey Long tops the list for starters. Briles would be a perfect fit, LOL. As for Kiffen, that has about as much a shot as me winning the Powerball when it tops a billion, no way in hell Saban would let that happen, hell, his transferring players are having trouble getting permission to hook up with SEC schools, no way in hell any of his assistant coaches will.

That would be my guess. Miles said he supports the decision to fire him. And lets not forget his $12 million buyout. He supports that too... He said he'll probably coach again. But I bet it will be a couple years down the line after he's taken plenty of vacations...

I could see him being added to the College Football Playoff committee. I think he would bring great insight and keep him busy why LSU pays him off.

Best thing that could've happen to "Ol Les"; Now he can relax a little, do a little reading and perhaps travel a bit. Most importantly he'll, once an for all, get his hemorrhoids treated (removed by surgery). They are painful little sores; Preparation (H) only goes so far (short term relief). Why do you think he was grimacing on the sidelines so often during the past (3 plus) seasons.

Yeah, he's the only one, and look at the bullshit he went through to do it. I'll gladly quit gambling if Kiffen even comes up in the "real" discussion.

Whatever you do "Tmader", don't quit ......you can rise above all the "horseshit" that flies around in the world of college football.

Some members of the national media only focus on Miles' overall record, and moan about how LSU could fire a coach with such success, which is not correct.

Here is the trend for LSU in the SEC and the West the past 4 seasons:

2012: 6-2 in SEC (losses to Florida and Alabama) 2nd in West
Loss to Clemson in bowl game

2013: 5-3 in SEC (losses to UGA, Ole Miss and Alabama) 3rd in West
Win over Iowa in bowl game

2014: 4-4 in SEC (losses to Miss St, Auburn, Alabama, Arkansas) 4th in SEC West
Loss to Notre Dame in bowl game

2015: 5-3 in SEC (losses to Alabama, Arkansas and Ole Miss) 4th in SEC West (tied for 3rd but with Arkansas)
Win over Texas Tech in bowl game.

LSU lost 12 SEC games in the past 4 seasons, an average of 3 SEC losses per year. Far from challenging for the West championship, we had slowed down and have been back in the pack, especially the past 2 seasons. We were also 2-2 in bowl games, which doesn't help either, but isn't critical.

THAT is why Les HAD TO GO.

An LSU plane was spotted at the airport in Morgan town. This doesn't necessarily mean anything , but they could be talking to Dana Holgrosen.

...but I also heard they are not actually interviewing any coaches and were handling the search strictly through agents.

searches always start with the agents, always! Lsu can't reach out to a coach at this time, a coach has to reach out to them. But nothing stops "LSU's people" from reaching out to say DH "people" to see if there is interest. At this moment, if a coaches "people" haven't already confirmed interest (which I think was done before the firing) the. They are just putting out feelers to see who they can talk too AFTER season. Too much negativity for a coach to jump ship mid season, unless you are spurrier and real ease your teams sucks so you throw in the towel on them mid season (all while being a media darling and get no scrutiny for it).

Also, no coach is going to allow is coordinators in a meaningful season talk to another school (say kiffin). So it will all be through agents or mutual friends at this point.

My opinion only though, lsu has their guy, he's verbally committed, and they know they can fall back on O if said verbal commit backs out. Whoever it is, they probably wanted last year but price tag was too high. Now a booster or group of boosters probably stepped up and said go get him we will cover it. (Conversations probably started right after whisky loss)

That's as accurate as anything I could have posted. Look for Jimbo Fisher to be the next coach at LSU.
