Does that some signifigance? Actually, we still have a gaming license and office presence in Curacao. The other (more important) reason is because there are no big six accounting firm offices in Costa Rica (that we could find). We thought that it was important for the verifying entity to be from a major, long established accounting firm, like the 100 plus year old Deloitte and Touche. Also, the certified public accountant DOES ACCESS AND QUERY the database.

Thank you for your support and kind words. This is really a service for our customers and, judging from THEIR response, the appreciate and are responding positively to it.
It is true that the others are not yet following suit but the simple fact is that very few are not using their clients' post up money so they could not do this without some new investors or new infusement of cash.
The managers of PariAction/121bets and Allworld certainly feel good about it and it cerainly helps us sleep better knowing that the owners/investors can not take the money and run.

Really? You mean that they have a trust account with a regular monethly statement audited and signed by a "Big Six" accounting firm

and...

An individual can verify that they have a certain amount in that trust account?

Could you provide a URL to that, someone I know has an account there and I would like to see their individual certificate.

What I was refering to was the fact that the bettors money is kept in a trust account.

I was unaware that a bettor could access all the info as you have stated with your structure.

Also Canbet is strictly regulated by the government of Australia. I think with all the latest scams going on with the big accounting firms (ie worldcom) I would have more trust in a goverment from a first world country. JMO.

The certification letter specifically says that they "received" your balance report. It doesn't says that "they" ran the report. The letter definitely implies it was given to them by you.

Aside from that, I did a search on yahoo & found that the very same accounting firm you use in Curacao exists in Costa Rica. Check out their URL http://www.dtcr.com/english.htm. Here's another Big 5 firm in CR http://www.kpmg.co.cr/.

I definitely feel that having these statements certified by an accounting firm in the same country lends more credibility. Think about it... if you need to get some papers notarized for someone in the States, are they going to accept a notary from Mexico?

All that paper is saying is that they've compared the numbers that show up on balance report & bank statement & there's a difference.

I do not see them offering any type of authentication of the documents, nor would they be able to from Curacao.

Australian books have held money in a trust long before All World even thought of it.

Having the government's seal of approval along with the strict regulation that Australia provides, gives me a certain sense of confidence that can not be found elsewhere.

I think that the Australian system is a great system that could be copied by other jurisdictions.

If you read my my previous post, what I stated was that the CPA in Costa Rica has access to the database and they are independantly verified by three different processes.

It may not be a perfect, but it satisfies us and our customers seem to be happy with it as well.

Curacao was chosen by the attorneys who specialize in this area and we trust their judgement. As we stated, we still have a presence and representatives in Curacao as well.

It is good to have the ability to have a government third party involved and I know the Australian system of Bureaucracy to very thorough even though they want to eliminate online gaming and many of the companies from there have been looking to Costa Rica as a place for possible relocation.

As the government of Australia has reciprocal treaties with the USA and other nations, make sure that any money that you win is reported to the proper authorities. But everyone knows to always do that anyway, right?

Your information is kept confidentional with Allworld. Only the username is provided to third parties, never anything else.

Our system is unique as we provide certification of the overall player's balances and an individual certification that each player's money is included. Until a better system comes along, we will try to keep improving ours.
