112 on Monday then 115 or higher till Saturday. There is a chance they could break all time high of 117 which last happened in 2017. Everything has to be perfect to hit 118 but it definitely could happen this week. People who live in Laughlin or across the river in Bullhead City laugh at those temperatures. I use to go to Laughlin when I lived in Las Vegas during the Summer for an AP promotion or giveaway. It truly is hell on earth because not only do you have the insane temperatures it becomes humid from the river. If you walked around at night when it is still above 100 you would see insects the size of your fist.

Enjoy your water, while it still lasts.

In ten years real estate will be cheap in those parts

Lived in Phoenix for about 15years. Now in Vegas and enjoy that 8 degree difference since it is cooler here. In other words, you are right flashmo as we just have to make it through three hot months to enjoy nine months of nice weather...I'll take that. BTW...maybe global warming is true as there are now three ICE bars in LV rather than the previous one. I guess that data point is equally valid to some others I've seen.

while the infamous Hotspot Death Valley approaches 130 degrees Celsius

Ummm.. No. That's like 250+ degrees Fahrenheit. If that ever happens on earth, almost all life will be long done/gone by then. Maybe there's an organism that could still survive in those temps but I doubt it.

Whoever wrote that obviously meant Fahrenheit.
