I am a bama fan and I think Kiffin is a good coach, mainly because of who he was able to surround himself with (asst. coaches). The problem is that he is waaaaay to cocky and his program is getting into too much trouble with their antics. As long as Saban is at Bama and Meyer is at Florida, the other teams will be playing second fiddle. Bama's schedule is complete bullshit next year. I think 6 of out opponents have bye weeks the week before they play Bama. How the hell is that fair? Tennessee is getting better but just dont think they will be good enough to compete year in/year out with Florida and Bama. My 2 cents (albeit a little biased probably). Roll Tide Bitches. We goin to the 'ship

Tennessee has a head coach in training. I think they knew that when they hired him. When you fire a coach who has one of the best records in the country, you hope like hell you hit pay dirt. Young Kiffin is learning but he does have Papa to lean on plus a very good staff. I don't know if Kiffin will make it in the SEC but I do know he needs older Kiffin to stick around. One thing for sure! The University of Tennessee will remove him in a hurry if he can't win. That's for damn sure.

Whatever happened to Big Phil? Never liked the fat guy but he won big at Tennessee. How many coaches win a national championship? I don't have his record handy but it was damn strong.

I can't remenber exactly off top of my head, but Fulmer was like 151-50 I think. I Whatever the # he's won 3x as many as he lost. He will coach next season somewhere. He's has made very clear that he wants to coach somewhere that is committed to winning a nat. championship & he's willing to move out of the south & the SEC. I thought he would have been a good fit at ND. He's a good Def. coach, that's what ND needs. I don't think Fulmer will go to a lesser conference, like MAC, WAC, or shit like that, but as long as its a BCS conf. I think he will go. I like Phil & I think the Univ fucked him! I can't wait to root for him wherever he goes

you guys do realize Kiffin's Vols finished 2nd (behind Florida) in the SEC east this year ?

nearly 20 players were kicked off or transfered. the vols had to have 14 walkons play in one late season game. 4 as starters. 2 on the offensive line.

now let that sink in...

he turned the nations worst QB into one of the best in the league. the vols played 3 top 5 preseason teams on the road. he played on the road at the #1 ranked team TWICE and won the coaching battle each time.

if the vols had a kicker theyd be 10-2. just so happens, the nations top HS kicker will be a vol next year.

its really trivial.

some funny stuiff coming out though...heres the best quote so far:

Also on Friday, Keith Easterwood, a veteran summer basketball coach, said that on a visit last year with his son, a football recruit, he had to ask a hostess to stop brushing her breasts against both him and his son.

He recalled saying, “Young lady, if you don’t stop doing that, we’ve got a problem.”

Easterwood said that he took a group of basketball players to a Western Kentucky football game at Tennessee this year, and that the presence of the hostesses had his players “literally reduced to blubbering idiots.”

“I’ve been up there five times, four for football and one basketball visit,” Easterwood said. “My observation is that this is a very organized operation. These girls have obviously been groomed. There’s a lot of eye contact and touching.”

Kiffin thinks being investigated is a compliment. LOL. idiot.

Hey Lane, Florida has been racking up Top 5 recruiting classes without being investigated. No one gives a shit about your good recruiting classes that you had to cheat to get.

There is one group of people in this world that you don't want to mess with and that is the NCAA. I'm more scared of the NCAA than the US Government. I appreciate Kiffin's innovative recruiting methods, but he continues to push their buttons and they don't fuck around. I would say he needs to learn when to shut up, but he obviously never will. Vols will be on probation very soon and will eventually be looking for a new head coach and athletic director.

This situation is so remminiscent of how Neuheisel thumbed his nose at the NCAA. It eventually was his and UW's undoing. Nothing good can come from this.
