Analysis: Of course if we are looking just technically on this match, according as well on the head to head where Petzschner leads 3:0 and one of them was in straight sets just a couple of weeks ago and the kind of shape of the two players the German Petzschner would be the one to tip.
But we are the opposite way, just for few things, Melzer for sure is the best player here, because can do more then just simply serving, is more complete on the baseline, better on the returns and on the net as well, he is facing just a very bad moment without confidence and for that he chosen to play the qualification here where he won three matches all in straight sets giving him confidence and showing that he wants to back to the win after the first two losses and no one set won against Petzschner in Brisbane and Karlovic in Melbourne.
You know those kind of tournaments, ATP 250 for the ranking especially the first rounds are not so important and both players are extremely good friends, we should say even much more and they play as well the doubles together getting as well some titles and a great feeling inside and outside the court.
Jurgen Melzer needs a lot of this win, to get some confidence and to begun his season here.
Of course this is just a personal opinion, but Melzer very focused on this, Petzschner won the first one this year, both player very good friends and Melzer even teorically the better player, so we really believe that for any reason this will be Jurgen's time...
