I wasn’t too keen to recommend the L.A. Lakers as 6.5-point road dogs for Game 5 of their Western semifinal versus the Golden State Warriors, but I’m jumping on board at +7.5 for a small sum. The projections I’m looking at have Golden State winning by exactly seven points, somewhere in the neighborhood of 116-109.
That seems generous to the Warriors. The defending champs have a lot going for them, but bench strength isn’t on the list; unless Andre Iguodala (wrist) magically makes an appearance, Golden State is vulnerable to getting tired and falling apart late as they did in Game 4 – or should I say Game IV, as in Lonnie Walker IV.
