FIX was in IMHO!

When you tackle someone in the box like that and he wasn't shy about it, so early in the match.......the Fix is In.

With United winning this morning, this was a done deal. I have respect for City but the match was fixed. City with injury issues and a need to keep pace with Man U.

K-Man was paid well for his Red and I hope he spends it well. He signed a 5 year contract with the Guns in July so he is secure.

Not pointing fingers on who set the fix but the ingredients are all too familiar. The powers at be will be watch Koscielny closely.

Two straight reds? Mike Dean is a real joker today. Yes, the Koscielny 'tackle' was a penalty kick, but a yellow would have been fine there too... I suppose the straight red could be issued for denial of a goalscoring opportunity... but that wasn't really clear chance, so it shouldn't have been straight red, particulary in the first ten minutes.

And the straight red for Kompany? What a joke! Looked like a nice tackle to win the ball, straight on and without any malice! Not even a foul in my book, but if you had to blow the whistle, it's just a foul.... yellow if he had been warned a few times before... but straight red??? Mind boggling!

I can't remember a tackle like that in the box for some time. Seems suspicious that's all. LOL. Sorry mate, good win for the Citizens.

Sorry I got you upset CTL, I actually thought that City would struggle with the ACN on and injuries. They played great without the Africans....... Tevez, Silva, Zaba all great.

Not sure I would have gone the Red Card route Tevez was going to get to the ball before Dzeko. IMHO the ref made an error that changed the shape of the match from the 9min mark.

K-man did his part in earning a penalty for City but never thought he was going to get Red Carded.

The Red on Kompany may be retracted as he did not leave his feet and it looked worse than it really was.....City will appeal. The match was Over by that point and I think he wanted to appease the home crowd with eye for an eye type retribution. I agree it was BS.

Mancini is starting to piss me off and I am not a City supporter. Stop kissing ass and play your best guys.

The FA has overturned the red card given to Vincent Kompany in Manchester City's 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday.

The Belgian centre-back was sent off by match official Mike Dean for a
tackle on Jack Wilshere in the second half at the Emirates Stadium.

"An Independent Regulatory Commission has today upheld a claim of
wrongful dismissal regarding Manchester City’s Vincent Kompany," read an
FA statement released on Tuesday.

"As a result, Kompany's three-match suspension has been withdrawn with immediate effect."

Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini had indicated after the game
that the club would protest the decision before an appeal was officially
lodged on Monday.

"This is not a red card, absolutely not," the Italian told Sky Sports.

"He has one foot to take the ball, the other is left. I think that the referee made a mistake there.

"It was not a sending-off for Vinnie because Vinnie took the ball with only one foot after anticipating the opponent."

Arsenal were already down to 10 men following Laurent Koscielny's
dismissal in the early stages for hauling down Edin Dzeko in the
Gunners' penalty area.
