As far as MSU vs. Michigan goes... Michigan St. IS NOT 40 points better then last year. MSU will BE LUCKY to WIN one out of there next three games. MICHIGAN ROLLS SPARTY.. I will share my email letters with one die hard sparty whom happens to be my brother in law, a graduate of MSU in the late 80's.. Below is my first email!

Once again I was wrong, I let my hatred for Michigan State cloud my judgement. I didn't realize that Michigan controlled their own
desteny for yet another Big Ten title. This would make 41 Big Ten titles. Correct me if I'm wrong but I think msu has a whoppping 6. Wow I didn't know you guys had that many, maybe I've been wrong all these years, you guys are
a "POWERHOUSE". I know those 40 titles have been in the past but at least Michigan has a past worth while to reflect on.

Now back to the present, which other then your record doesn't look to impressive. I don't know if you have been looking at any stats lately, but here are a few that shocked me. I just couldn't believe how on paper msu was behind not only Michigan but 1/3 of the rest of the league These are just a few that I picked out, if you would like more I could send you some others. Just let me know. Have a good week this won't be the last email.

Go Blue!!

QB'S
CMP/ATT YDS TD INT
Navarre 183/316 2271 16 7
Smoker 180/273 2070 12 5
(What happened? Navarre sucks, so what does that say about Smoker?)

Running Backs
Yards TD
Perry 1094 12
Hayes 563 5
(Is this guy actually your No. 1?, does he have both legs?)

Opponents record Mich. (34-31)
(Yes this means the teams they played actually have a combine winning record.

msu (21-35)
(Tough schedule so far.)

Scoring
Mich. 38.1 pts./game
msu 31.9 pts./game

Michigan's overwhelming 31-3 Victory against Purdue last Saturday was scarcely completed before the media began asking about what's next.

Let the hype for the interstate rivalry begin.

No. 11 ranked Michigan has 7-2 record (4-1 big10) good for second place. MSU is 7-1 (4-0 big10) and is in first place.

With a victory at Spartan Stadium on Saturday, The Wolverines would have first place to themselves, and own the tiebreaker with msu - and visa versa.

One challenge for the Wolves will be to win at Spartan Stadium where they have dropped the last two games. Michigan which is 1-2 on the road this year HAS NEVER LOST three consecutive road games to MSU. The last defeat in Lansing in 2001, came when the CLOCK KEEPER GAVE MSU a extra second after time had CLEARLY expired! That second was just enough to give the Spartans a game-winning touchtown in a 26-24 MSU victory.

As Michigan strives to win the BIG TEN title this year, the Wolves haven't forgotten that GAME!

"This is a BIG game for us."
Michigan WR Braylon Edwards said. "Last year, you know we won, but we're STILL thinking about what happened two years ago, so that is STILL on our minds."

(MICHIGAN WON LAST YEARS MATCH-UP 49-3)

It's time for MSU to pay the PIPER yet again. That second caused Michigan not only the game but ultimately a BCS game. Michigan rolls sparty by 17plus in East Lansing...

by getting rid of the clueless HC they had last year and bringing in john smith - they might be! williams was in the same mold as steve lavin - in that you bet against him whenever you had the chance - for he was a moron. now that MSU has a real coach - things have changed. will take over a FG with a LIVE home dog that will probably win the game SU.

both are good teams and this should be a battle. I can see both sides of this coin. One side is mich st has a revenge motive for getting an ass kickin last year. Also michigan beat a deject state team who didnt have a qb or had a qb on drugs. and so on. this team pretty much had given up last year after the drugs incident. michigan st. has their plusses as well.. better running game.. chris perry is hard to bet against. etc.. i would rather sit out on this one personally.

Winky.. Please save your money.. This is NOT a LIVE DOG! Michigan Wins this game with ROOM to spare..

Michigan -37 -- MSU -17

Hail to the Victors!

With Michigan ytd I'm 9-6-1 (remember there are 1/2 time and second 1/2 wagers figured into this #.)

Can you please explain your rationale for backing the Illini? From all indications, they have completely packed it in this season. Iowa keeps covering week after week.

SOME INTERESTING TRENDS WORTH NOTING INVOLVING MICHIGAN / MICHIGAN STATE:

Wolverines are 1-7 ATS as a road favorite vs. Spartans since 1987.

The home team is 13-4 ATS in this instate rivalry.

Wolverines are 9-5 straight-up but 5-9 ATS the last 14 against the Spartans.

......sorry Koke, "laying" points in this game is just to risky. Also, one cannot stress enough what that extra week off to prep for a HOME game like this means. Like Winky, I am on the Spartans and they don't even have to win to cash a bet.
