Starting to get things turned around in 04 with winning night on Tuesday going 4-3. There are several games tonight that stand out.
West Virginia +7- Notre Dame just hasn't impressed me this year as they have really struggled at home losing to Indiana and Central Michigan as well as another close call with a cupcake. Mountaineers have enough to keep it close and possibly win it in the end.
Syracuse -12.5 - After watching Orangemen play on Saturday against MSU, I am convinced this team has gotten ship righted. They have scoring from numerous sources and throw in the fact that St. John's has given up on the season by firing Jarvis as well as their poor performance, Orangeman should blow them out in Carrier Dome. (Best Bet)
North Carolina -16.5- The Tarheels will be looking to avenge a loss down at Miami in this one. Miami is down this year and I'm sure Roy and company will want to introduce them properly to ACC basketball by blowing them out in this one. Too much talent for Tarheels.
South Carolina +3 - I look for the Gamecocks to upset Gators in this one. Florida has been a very average road team while Odom has Gamecocks up and coming while playing extremely well at home.
Penn State +3- Though I am not impressed with either of these teams, I can tell you that going and playing at Penn State is not easy. Minnesota has disappointed me with their play so far, not playing well of late, and being too one dimensional. Playing on the road in Big 10 is tough and I don't think at this point in time Gophers are good enough to win on the road.
NC State -2.5 - BYU is the better team but on the road they are very average. Playing this game across the country won't help them either in the middle of the week. Home court is the key factor as Wolfpack win this by 10. (Best Bet)
Mississippi +3 - Same scenario as the two games above. Though this is a down year for Rebels, playing their arch rival and playing it at home will be enough to get win. Playing in Oxford is a very tough place to play regardless of how good or bad Rebels are.
Western Kentucky +3.5 - The wrong team is favored as WKU in my opinion is the better team. Not only will they cover here but should win comfortably. (Best Bet)
St. Louis -3.5- Billikens have already proved they can play well on the road and throw in the fact that this TCU team in one of the worst in Conference USA, St. Louis should be able to win this game in a workmanlike way.
Illinois -16.5- Fighting Illini coming off of a horrible performance in a overtime win at home on Sat. to Illinois State, should be ready for conference opener. This might be one of the worst Buckeye teams in recent memory going back to before Jimmy Jackson era. Illinois has way too much at home. (Top Play)
Best of luck.
