Coming off a great day on Saturday hitting with New England, Seattle (doubled bet), Seattle on moneyline, and Philly 2nd half (not posted). Only loser was Washington but made it up on Philly 2nd half bet. Looking at an even stronger Sunday ticket.

St. Louis -10.5 - Besides liking Rams in a must win for homefield, I found some concrete evidence to bet the Rams. The strength of the Lions team is their defensive line. Come to find out, three starters will not play tomorrow. These starters are Robert Porcher, Kalimba Edwards, and Luthur Ellis. These three are major cogs in the Lions Defense. Without these three, they will not only have problems stopping the run but will not be able to pressure Bulger without blitzing as these three are there major pass rushers. When they go to blitz, the Rams will eat them up alive. On the other side of the ball, Harrington who turns over the ball about 3 times a game goes up against the most opportunistic defense in the Rams who lead the league with 44 takeaways. Hakim and Bly will have decent games but the Rams roll big time here. Rams 38 Lions 7

Cleveland +8 - Browns have played better on road than they have at home. Bengals won first meeting and I expect a very game effort similar to the Denver game with Browns. Couch will keep it close with his arm. In this series, these games are normally very close with the visitor winning on the other's home field in recent times. Bengals win on late score. Bengals 30 Browns 24

Tampa Bay +7- Yes Tennessee needs this game but Super Bowl Champs will make it tough on Titans playing with some pride especially from the defense. Tennessee has been struggling to finish off teams of late and I don't see anything changing here. Besides SF loss, most of Tampa's losses have been less than a touchdown. Tennessee 20 Tampa Bay 17

Jacksonville +3 - Yes Vick has made a difference for Falcons but in this game, I am going with the better defense in the Jaguars. Jaguars have been playing everybody tough and want to take a step forward and win Del Rio's first road game. Taylor and Leftwich get the job done. Jaguars 23 Falcons 20

Miami -4 - Dolphins have owned Jets recently after Jets had dominated this series. The difference in this game is the Jets 30th ranked rush defense as Williams will control clock as Dolphins win defensive struggle. Dolphins 20 Jets 10

Dallas +2 - Cowboys want to keep their momentum heading into playoffs and should off demoralized and banged up Saints offense. Both Lewis' and Horn are out at receiver, their best lineman Bentley is out, and Deuce is banged up. Parcells won't let up here in another defensive struggle with Brooks playing another horrible game after decent game vs Cowboys defense. Cowboys 21 Saints 13

Kansas City -7 - Chiefs are coming off of a pummeling at Minnesota. Vermeil knows how important this game is to the moral of the team in staying undefeated at home and getting some momentum going into bye week. Bears defense has been giving up a lot of yards and points and I don't see that stopping tomorrow. On the other side of the ball, wide receivers Gage and White will not play for Bears. This will be Grossman's first start away from the friendly combines and I guarantee he will find out how difficult a place to play that Arrowhead is. Chiefs 38 Bears 14

Indianapolis -7.5 - Colts have actually played some of their better games on the road. Manning and company will be relentless on Texans in this one as offense will score early and often to seal it away before halftime. Though Texans have been tough at home, circumstances don't favor them here. Indianapolis 34 Texans 17

Giants +5 - Call this a hunch! Carolina will be resting a lot of starters or pulling them early. This is Fassel's last game and it is against his old defensive coordinator Fox. Panthers have not covered a game for a month with 3 of them on road (at Atlanta,at Arizona, Detroit, Washington). I look for a low scoring game but Giants will pull upset to send Fassel out a winner. Giants 17 Panthers 13

Arizona +7.5- Minnesota needs this game but they have a much tougher game here than this team might realize. Arizona has been a disaster on the road but have covered everything at home since first game with Seattle. Mcguinnest teams never quit while Vikings are never focused two weeks in a row. Vikings a holes get a lot tighter knowing Hawks have already won and Packer will win. I think they choke here as Arizona wins straight up. Cardinals 27 Vikings 24 in overtime

Green Bay -6.5 - Packers home field combined with Broncos resting starters will help get Pack over the hump. Green and Favre should have big days and they will get late xmas present with Vikings collapse in the desert. Packers 24 Broncos 10

San Diego -4 - Chargers won't lay down knowing Schottenheimer will be back and their jobs will be on the line. Bolts should have won first matchup in the Bay and Marty's teams normally win against Oakland. Raider nightmare ends at the same place it began last January, at Qualcomm. Chargers 27 Raiders 13

Pittsburgh +7.5 - Ravens wish they were playing anybody but Pittsburgh knowing they have to win. Cowher's team always gives this team headaches with their physical play and Bettis running the ball. These are normally close games and I don't expect anything different here. Lewis breaks 2000 yards but team loses division on late field goal. Steelers 19 Ravens 17

Good luck to all and let's get em in the playoffs!

Kojak:

Excellent thread! A lot of games now off the board in many places. Rams and Cowboys particularly. When they come back on the board, expect some inflation. Good luck tomorrow.

Gary Philly,

Best would be Arizona, Pittsburgh, and Kansas City. St. Louis is one but I know you will be on the other side. Also, bet over on Cleve/Cinci. Best of luck.

Thank You Kojak. I'm still fine tuning my plays but I like Arizona, Kansas City, and believe it or not your St. Louis Rams.

Menses,

You are right as this might just be the stongest slate of games to bet on all year. Best of luck.

Kojak,

I looked at the injury reports and didn't find Porcher on the list. Where did you find this from?

Kojak........Nice day capping. I've got you 2-1 on your best bets. But, wow what happened to your Rams? Unbeleivable! Now the road to the bowl comes through Philly. Playoffs should be very interesting.

Gary Philly,

I don't know what happened to my Rams except for laying a big fat egg in the 2nd half. Former Rams Bly and Hakim plus Holt's brother seem to want the game more and pumped up the rest of the team. The lone bright spot for the Rams was after the game in the post news conference, I saw some real emotion out of Martz for the first time since he took over coaching . This team seems to always be on cruise control. I think this emotion will carry over to practice as I have never seen Martz this upset as normally he compliments the other team and says only politically correct statements. Only time will tell if I'm right. I hope Carolina beats Dallas as Green Bay seems to be getting hot and getting all the breaks at the right time. I would like Philly to play them before us. Best of luck.
