Aloha Kojak, have been away from posting a few days, to get alittle more focused on BB from the sidelines inside of just jumping into it, like I did. I appologize for my taking your comments personally, especially when I forgot to see that the information was alittle late for most to benefit from anyways. You had the right call in Fresno St. and I failed to recognize an opponent of the Warriors that was on deck.
Take this as FYI only and nothing else. I stated that I would try to help in anyway I could with the Warriors, I meant it. So heres an example where it cost me, and one which could of maybe saved you. I went back and looked at the Fresno game and also spoke with one of the assistants coaches as to what happened. The statements I received and the knowledge I obtained to my own searching was stupidly missed by me because of my half ass cap of the game. First, although Fresno St. was a game as before that they played with great enthusiasm. This year was not really high on their list due to them having a losing record. Match that up with the lost of two star players for Fresno, and you got a situation that would lead an already confident team to be overconfident, hence to defeat. But, adding to this was their next opponent which they were looking to in Nevada , who was predicted to win the WAC this year. Also, Nevada defeated the Warriors here in Hawaii and in Nevada last year, so double revenge factor was playing as well.
It makes no sense to say who I played on this game as I didnt post a play. But Nevada was a definate look ahead for the Warriors and the real team showed up for that on. Anyway, I see that you had Nevada in this one. But now that they lost here, you can still recover the lost when they go their to play. Just a rule of thumb which seems to be working for some of us Hawaii backers, and again just for your FYI and nothing else. Is that just like in football, when Hawaii plays at home we back them, of course you have to watch the line and pick your shots. But when they are on the road, more than often, you would simply go against them. We just dont travel well. The Football team had made adjustments, but not aware of Riley Wallace's using new travel programs, but that they do stay on the mainland throughout their long road trips and then return home. This week they are on their first long 3 game road trip. They are playing with confidence right now. But by the end of the trip maybe by the second or last game, most likely they will be spent.
So just a heads up for you on the Warriors. Also, depending on how the road goes, and who the opponents will be at home when they return. Could set up for a big game for them and me. I like those situations. But need to see how the road goes and who their opponent will be when they return. Well, like I mentioned earlier, this is just FYI for you to do as you will. Good Luck Aloha Cc.
