Hope everyone had a great New Year. Starting with Friday, I will begin to keep overall record again to help track myself. Looks like there are some quality games on the docket.

Washington St. +21 - Dick Bennett's first conference game. I expect Stanford to play down to the competition and the slow down tactics of the Cougars. (loss)

Appalachian St. +15.5 - App St. is a quality lower Division 1 team who should be able to keep it under the points in this one. (loss)

NC Charlotte +3.5- This is definitely not the same Saluki team. Charlotte has already won in the dome. No reason they can't end Saluki's home winning streak which is the first or second longest in the nation. (win)

BYU -13 - Cougars are too much at home for this St. Mary's team. (win)

Washington +7.5 -Huskies are playing some quality basketball as witnessed by winning at San Diego St. and blowing out Columbia. California has not been playing very good offense making this game closer than the experts think. (loss)

Kansas -13- Jayhawks have too much for a very overrated Villanova team and will win handily,
(loss)
Rice +11- UCONN has not played a road game in a while and will be surprisingly tested in this one.(win)

Kojak.. I like some of the picks.. Personally i really like the BYU game... they are such a tough team... Plus they are consistent which is good for us. St. Mary's doesnt have a prayer in this one. I see a 20 point difference. good luck

I always like looking at your picks, but agree that a rating system or posting a win - loss record would be great. With so many games, it's hard to get a feel on your picks. While your comments seem to be dead on in many cases, having you rate your favs would add to the fun.

I usually for record keeping purposes list games the same but I have always listed best games out of the group. I can continue to do that or will be open to suggestions on rating system.

Three games are best bets:

NC Charlotte +3.5

Washington +7.5

Kansas -13

I play all of the games I listed for the same amounts as I let the w and l take care of the rest. But these three were the games that rated the highest under my formula. Hope this helps.

I have not kept overall stats for about 2 weeks or so do to a bad apple. But before when I did keep stats, I was about 25 games over .500 with best bets hitting at about 70%. Best of luck.

Kansas has no offense or defense. There outside shooting is pathetic if not the worst in the Big 12, which causes the other team to sag inside. Simien only had 4 touches last game because teams are now sagging so much on the inside and Padgett is only averaging 4pts. and 3 reb. a game versus Div. I teams. My play of the day is Villanova +13.
