Well 1 thing I think is that the east is not very good. Boston, Orlando, and clev. Beyond that it sucks... That and the fact that Clev lacks the talent of LAL leads to inflated numbers and wins.

So IMO LBJ plays against weaker teams and dominates the ball more. Puts up big numbers and gets wins against lesser oppenents.

This may have been true in years past, but not in '08-'09. Eastern Conference went 231-219 vs the Western Conf this past year. Eastern Conf is better from top to bottom.

asufan doesn't even follow the league. just says stupid shit. he probably can't even name 5-10 players in the NBA. him bringing up Nash over Bryant was comical.

Nash probably the most overrated PG EVER.

He cannot play half court basketball, he is a turnover machine, and he cannot play defense to save his life.

You're clearly incapable of even remote reading comprehension. Show me where I said Nash was better than Bryant. My assertion was that Kobe is a volume shooter and that if Nash took as many shots as Kobe did he would post a higher scoring average because he is a much more efficient shooter. I never said he was a better player. In fact, I agreed with other posts saying exactly what you said.
Fidel called and wanted me to tell you your dick sucking skills have been lacking of late. Perhaps you should focus more on that and less on being the forum douche.

just stop while your behind. you have no idea what your talking about. you think you do, but you dont. you dont follow the league, you have stated that several times.

i would demolish you on any NBA related topic. you cannot name 5-10 nba players without going to wiki and looking it up.

stick with your sports kiddo.

Those number suggest that east has a slightly better record against the west... Mainly b/c the West has 6 teams at the complete bottom of the league while the east has 1 team under 30 wins.

But west playoff teams way stronger at the bottom. Utah would have been the 4 seed in the east. 1/2 east teams in playoffs would not sniff playoffs in the west. Phoenix would have been 5 seed in east and was out of the playoff hunt in the west with 1-2 weeks to go.

Harder to play top 9 in west night in night out then playing a bunch of 30 win teams.

If you have the top 12 teams in the nba it would consist 3 east teams and 9 west.

Boston 1 of the best teams in the east has a injury to one of there best players for the last 30+ games.

Lebron got his ass stomped and swept in the finals. could not even win a game at home in his only finals appearance.

Well that's ancient history now, isnt it ? Last time I checked Lebrons team is 6-0 in the playoffs , and the Lakers dropped one at home to #5 SEED ... Lebron is the best in the game right now , bar none. Anybody who cannot see this is blind. It's that simple. Any GM in the league would tell you right now theres 1 guy they would take first , after that it's a tossup between4 or 5 .. Lebron is the thumb on the hand of the NBA.

All-time players

1-Jordan
1a-Kobe

End of discussion

Kobe's not even the 5th best L.A. Laker all time. It's completely amazing how the asskissers come to Kobe's defense.

OP is right. Kobe made an entire career out of being an elbow throwing bitch and getting away with it. Someday there will be a Kermit Washington out there waiting for him.

Any consideration that the difference in records for the low playoff teams is a direct cause of the West being able to inflate their record by playing over 1/4th of their schedules against those awful teams out West???

Phoenix went 19-4 againt other non-playoff teams in out West. Yet they went 10-4 against non-playoff teams in the East. Houston went 21-4 against non-playoff teams in the west, but were only 8-6 against non-playoff teams in the east.

Those are the only two teams I looked at so the trend may or may not be there for other teams. But if it is, it shows teams in the west got about 2-3 more wins just by playing in the west, and vice versa, leading to a 4-6 win discrepancy between east and west playoff teams. Which makes the leagues pretty damn even, thus taking away any conference advantages that LeBron had as claimed.

Maybe Kobe throws some cheap elbows from time to time,
but Bryant is probably the best pure scorer the game has ever seen.

Lebron the better all around player though, I acknowledge that.

Pau Gasol, Derek Fisher, Lamar Odom
vs
Mo Williams, Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Anderson Varejao

On/Off Stats 2009

LeBron James +21.0
Chris Paul +19.8
Lamar Odom +17.8

Sorrry I dont have time to watch 50 minutes of video by Kobes Coaches and ex teamates telling us how great he is and sucking his dick in the same sentence. I make my opinions from watching the game on the court ... and Lebron has clearly passed Kobe as the current ambassador of the league. And why not ? He's well spoken, hes intelligent , he understands the game well beyond his years , he unselfish , he never raped no white woman, he's only 24 and already is the NBAs all time 4th leading scorer, he won his first MVP .. last time somebody that young won ( Malone 83) Lebron wasn't even born yet. He knows when he steps on the floor hes the best player and after he wills his first title this year, I think more and more people will see that the King has arrived. King James that is.

Yes, every single person talking there is either Kobe's ex coach or ex teamate!!! wow how did you know that? I can tell that is the case just by looking at the the screencap of the youtube video!!!! No way, Pat riley coached KOBE? Arenas.... another ex teamate

No way guys, the same guy who coached MJ said kobe has better basketball skills? Yea hes just sucking up!!!

As a matter of fact the first 2 minutes of the first video is LBJ talking himself....but wait those dick sucking comments dont mean anything!!!

Like I said I don't have 40 mins to watch those videos ... or to have my opinions swayed by some joker calling himself Kobefan08.

After Lebron beats Kobe in the finals , maybe you will see my side of the coin in a different light ...

The ignorance in this thread is sooooooooo comical, lets take a little review

Ok so anyone who doesn't follow Rupert's opinions from HIM watching the game on the court is CLEARLY blind...

well.... maybe our opinions don't matter that much.... maybe his PEERS opinions might matter more? So I bring in some video evidence of PLAYERS AND COACHES in the NBA's opinions of Kobe

RupertPupkin said:

But wait! They're not from Kobe's coaches and ex-teammates ....who would have thought? its LBJ himself commenting along with

Phil Jackson, Lamar Odom, Stephon Marbury, Gilbert Arenas, Tracy Mcgrady, Derek Fisher, Amare Stoudemire, Mickael Pietrus, Darius Miles, Paul Davis, Nick Van Exel, Chris Kaman, Bonzi Wells, Monta Ellis, Al Thornton, Emeka Okafor, Pat Riley, Greg Popovich, Doc Rivers, Kiki Vandeweghe, Stephen A. Smith, Barack Obama, Andre Iguodala, Shane Battier, Al Jefferson, Billy Thomas, Kenyon Dooling, Lindsey Hunter, Chris Webber, Dwayne Wade, Carlos Boozer, Steve Nash, Nick Collison, Chauncy Billups, Chris Bosh, Charlie Villanuava, Ron Artest, Corey Maggette, Tyson Chandler, Ira Newble, Jason Terry, Dirk Nowitzki, Tim Duncan, Jerry Sloan, Kevin Harlan, Michael Redd, Jerry West, Mychal Thompson, John Celestand.

thats roughly:
1 coach
3 teamates
4 ex teamates

so.... its only 8 out of roughly 50 peers that are kobe's " Coaches and ex teamates telling us how great he is and sucking his dick in the same sentence"... but IT DOESNT MATTER because...

RupertPupkin said:

So basically the point of this thread is to say that:

armchair GM's opinion >>>>>> NBA players opinions

and what NBA players have to say dont matter either because

A) I don't have time to watch what they have to say
B) They're just sucking kobe's dick

Fine I'll post some facts then ... and no I dont have time to watch what I have already seen since 1996 when Kobe was drafted by the Hornets and traded to LA for Vlade Divac... You think I haven't followed Kobes career from day 1 ?? Haven't watched with my own 2 eyes his game evolve into one of the most devastating players in the NBA ?

You think I missed the 3 titles the Lakers won in a row ? I watched it all .. I've probably seen the Lakers play over 300 games in the last 10 years. It doesnt change my opinion that Lebron isn't the better over all player. I watched Lebron from day 1 also ... and when he was 18 playing in a grown mans league , he played like a MAN. Bryant at 18 played like a kid. It took him 3-4 years to get a handle on his game. Lebrons first NBA game at the age 18 he almost netted a triple double ... Kobes first game was garbage time in the 4th quarter where he played 6 minutes and took 1 shot.

Heres a look at the stats of both players thru age 24 in the league ..
Kobe PPG 21.5
Lebron PPG 27.5

KOBE REB PG 5.0
Lebron REB Pg 7.0

KOBE ASSISTS pg 4.2
Lebron Assists pg 6.7

KOBE FG % .455
LEBRON .471

Those are stats aka Facts btw ... and Lebron leads in every major category at the same time in their careers ....

-------------------------------------------------

Of course you will say , Well Kobe won 3 titles ... which to I will say .. Yea well Shaq was the MVP in all of 3 of those and we saw what Kobe did without him in the finals ... NADA.

Lebron is everyting Kobe is and was and MORE and thats the scary part, He's 6-8 250 for crying out loud and baseline to baseline probably the fastest guy in the league ... and is making a case to become the leagues best defender ... During the Olympics it was Lebron that guarded the other teams best player in every game , not Kobe ...not Wade.

Hopefully the Lakers and Cavs will meet in the finals this year and everybody with an opinion will have to fact up and the face the music with the results ... Man I love the NBA.
