I think the comment went over your head as you misinterpreted my points. Kobe wants to win and craves winning.... but anybody in their right mind knows the Lakers will suck and be a lottery team. Kobe, apparently, is too stupid to realize this.

He will be miserable. He consciously chose being miserable.... He wants to compete and win and do what he loves.... which is championship level basketball. By going back to the Lakers he had no chance.

It's like marrying a whore. Why would you marry a whore when you know going in you're in for trouble (see Mel Gibson and the category 5 heart attack and ulcers that bitch gave him). So that's what Kobe did.. he decided to stay with the Lakers who have ZERO CHANCE of winning.

I stopped reading after this....

But what makes you think he wants to win? he has already done that. And what part of Kobe's game has ever showed that he cares more about winning than himself? If he really wanted to win, he would have made it work with Shaq. Whore or not its still a family

You're right Mark, they are different types of players.

But people always like to compare the two & who's better or will end up better.

Kobe is the closest thing we've seen to Jordan when it comes to being virtually unstoppable most of his career (not LeBron) and when you consider that, it's end of debate in my opinion....

Jordan and LBJ are 1 and 2 in whatever order and anyone else is way off in the distance IMO.

its brutal to watch the lakers and im a huge lakers fan. i do think kobe should have retired after last years injury. he hurts the team more than helps on most nights. he still has capability to light it up on a night but those nights are very very rare. i still want to go back to LA and watch a few games this year just to see him 1 more time before he really does retire.

Kobe could be great in a 6th man role. If he really wanted to win another ring he needed to take about a 10-12 mil salary and provide some instant offense off the bench on a contending team. The fewer minutes would also help him maintain his health

It's clear he won't ever do this tho

ESPN.com ranked Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant as the 93rd-best player in the NBA before the 2015-16 season, but just three games in, the Black Mamba himself says he's nowhere near that good right now.
The Lakers dropped to 0-3 on the season with a 103-93 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday night. Bryant put up 15 points in 31 minutes in the game, but his 3-of-15 shooting marked another rough night. The 37-year-old guard is just 16-of-51 (31.4 percent) from the field and 6-of-29 (20.7 percent) from three-point range through three games.
Just look at this play against the Mavericks:

That's certainly not the Kobe Bryant we are used to seeing.
After the Lakers' latest loss, Bryant didn't try to make excuses for his slow start. He even went so far as to say he's "playing like s--t," "freaking sucks right now" and is the "200th-best player in the NBA."

Yeah, he's not pleased with his play so far.
To be fair, Bryant is still trying to get into a rhythm after missing most of the past two seasons with injuries. Some players might use that as an excuse, but not the Mamba. If he's healthy enough to be on the court, the five-time champion expects results. Right now, he's just not getting them.

Yeah understandable as everyone has their own opinion.

I'd put guys like Bird, for example, & every dominant center such Shaq, Duncan, Hakeem, David Robinson, and others ahead of Lebron.

As time passes, people tend to forget how great some players were & become too enamored with players here & now...
