I am the biggest Kobe and I will say MJ is slightly better. Those who think MJ is way better are simply Kobe haters (its easy to be one, I get it, he's not the nicest guy in the world). Pure basketball skills (shooting, dribbling, passing , footwork, IQ) they are pretty much even. Kobe was a better difficult shot maker from distance and had slightly better handles before his hand injury and Jordan was a better close to the basket player. What makes MJ better overall is he can jump higher and stay in the air longer and he has bigger hands to hold the ball away from the defender while he is in the air. This made him way more efficient close to the basket and made his shooting percentage higher. Kobes ability to make ridiculously difficult shots from long distance made his shooting % suffer overall. There is a kobe stat that most people do not know about and that is he is by far , way ahead of any other player ever to have a teammate score after getting an offensive rebound after he misses a shot. So yes he misses a lot but he has 3 defenders on him when he misses and his teammates would score a lot because of that. I know the haters are laughing at that stat but he has won 5 rings and been to the finals 7 times. 3 finals without shaq and gasol as the second option. Mj is the best, kobe is top 5
