I like the Nets on the money line tonight against the crosstown rival Knicks. The Nets have been struggling as of late, but with a day of rest and an emotional game ahead they will have a bounce-back victory. A major indicator for a betting win is in the return of Brooke Loopez who has been sidelined the last five games. His presence alone opens up offensive opportunities for Joe Johnson as well as Deron WIlliams. Lopez starred with 22 points, 11 rebounds and five blocks in the first meeting. Take the Nets at +130 for 2 units.

Brook Lopez (foot) will not play on Tuesday against the Knicks.

Lopez had been a "game-time decision," but the fact that he was ruled out so early indicates that was never really the case. GM Billy King also indicated that Lopez could miss the Nets next game against the Raptors, but that's not definitive. Lopez got back into practice on Monday, so while his return may not be far off, he's not going to play on Tuesday. Andray Blatche continues to be an excellent short-term play in Lopez's absence.

Damn.. After I saw him get through a full practice yesterday, and had sources in New York hinting at him getting 25 minutes tonight I'd figure it'd be a go.. Thanks for the heads up. Blatche better bring his big boy pants

any line movements for this? or was it set thinking that Lopez wasn't going to play?

Strong reverse line movement... 88 percent of the public on New York yet the line has shifted from 3.5 at open to 2.. They're begging for more money on the Knicks. I guarantee Vegas knew when the line was set, but after announcing that he is out, how does it jump the wrong way?
