Nobody is talking about it, but they just signed Mike Brown as an assistant coach. They may struggle to play .500.

Smith is way wrong....

Durant was with the Thunder for 9 years......9 years is a long time.....Time to move on.

And just because they beat them in the playoffs he shouldn`t play for them...LMAO......That makes 0 sense.

he obviously wants to win a ring, and that's what West impressed upon him

The Logo told KD how he's still haunted by the thoughts of losing to the C's six straight years in the finals, told KD he wouldn't want to experience such frustration

(paraphrasing)

I have always liked Durant but this tarnishes him in my opinion. If they win a title people will say....well yeah, we won before we had him. If they lose it will put another mark on him that he can't lead a team to a title.

Sorry to say....The Thunder aren`t a title contender......That team is 0-9 with Durant.

Time to go.

I don't understand why people think it's a bitch move. It's called free agency.
He don't want to join AI and Patrick Ewing on the list of great players who never won.
He went to the team he thought he has the best chance to win.

Its that simple.

Why is it so cool when David West does this but not so cool when KD does it?

I would have probably done the same thing

This is an NBA problem not a KD problem.

It's a free country, you can do what you want whether you are KD or LeBron or Melo, whatever. I'm fine with all that.

But as a fan it is pretty lame for a top 3 player to go to a team that is already that good. Especially when the player just lost to them in the playoffs.

You are right though, if the CBA was structured better then stuff like this wouldn't happen.

1 team being that good certainly can curb the enthusiasm for following the league.

Smith is still kinda old school, you want to beat your competition, not join them

I understand where he's coming from, but I'm not faulting KD either

Blah blah blah that's so childish.
You go where you have the best chance to win.

Wow. How many of these words did Durant write himself? Three or four? If he wanted to advance his evolution as a man, he should have signed with Utah or Milwaukee. Or he should have thrown that PR firm statement in the trash can and wrote his own statement: "I want me a title, man."
"The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player -- as that has always steered me in the right direction," Durant wrote. "But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth.

"With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors."

Tim Legler..........What's better for KD's legacy: Staying in OKC, never winning NBA title or being a key piece on GS team that wins multiple titles? No-brainer

Atleast OKC was good, LeBron left Cleveland and people had a hissy fit.

He can do what he wants as a free agent, but it is still a lame move to me and not a great thing for the league.
