^ I guess you missed the point where Dozier went to prep school after they learned about the test.

Does Calipari walk on a grey line ... of course, but who doesn't?
He just more negative attention than anyone else.
I don't remember Calhoun getting this bad of press recently.
Shoot ... Coach K gave thousands of dollars to Maggette and he got off.
How about Jim Valvano. He was penalized 3 times (where he was not even allowed to go to the NCAA tournament) and cheated A LOT, but EPSN praises him like nothing else.
Pitino has 8 NCAA infractions. Never hear about him.
Kansas had a ineligible player in Darrell Arthur, but the NCAA still allowed them their NCAA championship.
Roy Williams comitted NCAA infractions (when at Kansas) and they have to give up scholarships for 2 years.

It's all about who the media wants to portray negatively.

alright ... we could go on for days about this.

let's stick with the subject about whether or not UK has the best recruiting class ever.

I am not sure if it is the best ever, but it is definitely top 3

gotta agree with bragg here.

every coach in the country has something against them yet you only hear about certain ones. no one trashes roy williams.

im a nova alum and huge supporter and giver to the school. you think for one second jay wright doesnt walk the line? he sure as hell does.

where do u think randy foye got the escalade he was driving around campus senior year?? he bought it with the money he was making referring intramurals? stop it right now.... or did his dead broke grandmother from the bronx pay for it???

every team has issues.

and i do have to agree Cal is a good recruiter as is jay wright, but both are subpar as coaches.

I don't think it's a good thing to get too many one and done recruits. It's so hard to stay on top like that. Ohio St. had 3 one and done's in one class and haven't been able to get back into the top 10 since. They have had sick recruiting classes since "the big one" too. Michigan St. left elite status from recruiting one and done guys. They were staples in the final four and Big 10 champs then Zach Randolph, Jason Richardson, and Taylor left for the NBA and the Spartan's disappeared for quite a while.

It can def. come back to bite ya...

I agree with most of that.

As far as best Recruiting class, ever? Too hard to tell this early, but on paper it is certainly one of the top ever.

Fab Four at Michigan.
Oden, Conley, and Cook at Ohio State was really good.

Those might be better, because of what they accomplished.

What other recruiting classes are you guys thinking are better than this one?

what about the 2004 Florida Gator class?

Noah
Horford
Green
Brewer

3 lottery picks and 2 NCAA titles

Just shows that it doesn't matter how much hype or stars the class gets but what they actually accomplish on the court.

Regardless JBragg, you should be pumped about the upcoming season. Hopefully, he will keep it clean and doesn't do to Kentucky what Samscum did to Indiana.

They weren't that highly touted coming to college compared with past classes.

The Fab 5 was easily the best. Michigan even a had another class with Mo Taylor, Tractor, Baston and couple others that I am forgetting, that was highly ranked.

gonna be a great one! hopefully some of them will return for a soph. season!

they will not be better than us this year but will def. be the 2nd best team in the country! if meeks wouldnt have been a dumbshit and stayed in the draft......... A KU vs. UK championship game would have been one for the ages!

are u worried about cal getting in trouble from the ncaa about the memphis stuff?

Did u see our last recruit elijah johnson dunk in the all star game at kent.? if not youtube it!

Just wanting to start the conversation (all Rivals rankings)...

#1 John Wall 5*
#2 DeMarcus Cousins 5*
#22 Daniel Orton 5*
#23 Eric Bledsoe 5*
#40 Jon Hood 4*
JC Darnell Dodson 4* (they said with this class, he would have been a top 30 player)

Looks better than the Fab Five (on paper).
What do you think

I agree that both of those teams accomplished a lot.
I am not sure these kids for UK can live up to that hype or not, but on paper (according to rankings) UK does match up very well to the Fab Five coming out of high school.

Some classes of players actually do better than their rankings as well.
But, coming out of high school, these rankings are right at the top of the list of all time best (not counting what they will or won't do on the court).

Now that Calipari has had both his Final Four national title teams stripped of its hardward, we know how he got those recruits this year. Just a matter of time before the crooked Kentucky program gets drilled by the NCAA

everywhere this guy goes teams end up getting suspended.

Remember UMASS? now Memphis, then Kentucky down the road.

i call calipari teflon man because everyhting gets thrown at him, but nothing ever sticks. he's at fault and he gets the blame like he should, but he always wriggles away.

2 five star recruits have eliminated UK from their list of schools. It could be the Calipari sleaze fallout but hopefully kids will figure out this guy is a used car salesman.

Just a matter of time before he gets caught. He knows the gray area better than anyone and abuses them. Kentucky will be successful, no doubt about that. Just a matter of when the shoe drops...

Just landed #27 (on rivals) for next year in Stacey Poole.

The top 10 players left all have UK listed as possible destinations.
Word on the street is UK will have a better class than this last years.

#2 Brandon Knight
#3 Kyrie Irving (doubtful ... likely headed to Duke)
#9 Tobias Harris
#13 CJ Leslie
#19 Adrien Payne
#20 Terrance Jones
#27 Stacey Poole

They are expected to land 4 of these guys. 1 down ... 3 to go

... say what you want about Cal, but the fact remains he still has 0 NCAA infractions.
He is the one who turned in Camby.
This whole Rose thing is ridiculous. Rose wasn't even committed to Memphis when he took his SAT. He was still listing Indiana, Illinois and Memphis.
What was Calipari suppose to do ... go sit with Rose (who was not committed to their school) at his SAT place and make sure he takes his test. Come on. That is why Calipari was not even listed in ANY of the reports ... because he is not involved.

It blows my mind that the NCAA Clearinghouse told Memphis that he was eligible and passed him through the clearinghouse and then say "oops ... we made a mistake and now we are taking away everything". Seems like the NCAA needs to take blame for their own mistakes.

The problem we have and I think in most cases involving NCAA infractions happens on the kids. Kids make dumb decisions and coaches and universities have to pay the price for a 18 year old's stupid decision.

What is sad is Duke never got in trouble when they gave Maggette money.

All Kansas got was 1 scholarship taken away for Roy Williams giving presents to the players.

What about Darrell Arthur. He was ruled ineligible when Kansas won their national championship ... how come they didn't have to forfeit their season? hmmmm

Anyways ... Calipari can land any player he wants. I love the fact that people are trying to attack him and UK. It just tells me that people are jealous and UK is back on the map again. He just needs to be smart about the type of kids he chooses.

You can hate and say what you want about UK and Calipari, but those two together are lethal and you will soon find out.

id guess wall, cousins, bledsoe, patterson are all gone

regardless, i still say id rather take a top 40 overall player like chism and have him for 4 yrs than have a top 5 player like wall for 1 year.

Karma is a bitch and that is why Cal always gets knocked out and still has won zip and never will.

So many UK haters ... lol ... I actually like the attention. You know we are back!

Chris Paradise: I love it. Brought us from NIT to one of the best teams in the nation.

UK beats this WV team 9 out of 10 times. Truth. WV hit shots they usually don't .. when Mazzulla and Flowers hits a three, you know it is going good.

TKE683: why be an ass about it?
nothing is karma ... it truly is one of the best recruiting classes ever

Second off Coach Cal is a great coach. Because he hasn't won a title, it makes him awful? Give me a break. It took Dean Smith over 20 years at the same school to win a championship ... and I guess he is a real loser.

And he is a horrible coach, Cousins should have had 25-30 points, they could not guard him and never game him the ball.
