Keep an eye on Roy Williams' status over the next few days. A serious shoulder injury could have a devastating effect on the Cowboys' passing offense.
The Cowboys lack the depth at wide receiver to maintain a solid passing game without Williams. Players such as Patrick Crayton, Miles Austin, Sam Hurd and hotshot rookie Kevin Ogletree would be forced into major playing time. None has proven to be more than a role player. True, a Williams injury would open the door for a surprise star, but these guys haven't shown the potential to step up.
In turn, that would lean to significant trouble for QB Tony Romo, enough to conceivably knock him out of the top 10 quarterbacks. His one true reliable receiver would be TE Jason Witten, who naturally would get much more attention from defenses without having to worry about Williams.
