Sporting KC vs Montreal

Sporting Kansas City will host the Montreal Impact at Sporting Park this Saturday, and they hope to match a team record for wins at home, while trying to improve their playoff position in the Western Conference standings. Sporting Kansas City manhandled the Impact a year ago, taking all three games in convincing fashion, but this year there will only be one meeting with Sporting KC making the move to the Western Conference in 2015.

Dom Dwyer scored two goals in each of the three affairs in 2014, two of which came at Stade Saputo while Sporting outscored the Impact 9 - 1. Sporting head coach Peter Vermes has his club within one game of matching the club record for consecutive wins at home, while being the only team left in MLS without a blemish in the loss column.

They have won seven straight games at home including the two U.S Open Cup affairs, and with a win over Montreal, they can tie the mark with eight consecutive wins at home that they accomplished in 2004.The last time Sporting KC was home, they took out FC Dallas in the U.S Open Cup with a 6 - 2 victory, with Dom Dwyer highlighting the affair with four goals.

They will face the Houston Dynamo in only three days in the quarterfinals, but will again have the luxury of having their fans in support at Sporting Park.

Kansas City came up with a huge win on the road last weekend, taking out Vancouver 1 - 0 to pull within two points of the Western Conference leaders. The Western Conference is about as tight as it can be at the moment, with six teams all within two points of the top position.

Oh, and of course the +170 we offered on Kansas City to get a result last weekend didn't hurt either, so we hope you took advantage of that as well.

On the flip side, the Montreal Impact faces the same issues they dealt with a season ago, after becoming the only team to not win a single game away from home in 2014. Through nine road games this season, the Impact has managed just a single victory, and over the last two seasons they have a 1 - 17 - 7 record away from Stade Saputo.

The Impact has to start finding some consistency this season, and it had better start soon as they reach the halfway point of their MLS schedule. This being their 17th game of the year, they have three or four games on hand on the rest of the Eastern Conference, due to their competition schedule early in the year in Champions League combined with the Canadian Championships.

Montreal will be taking on Vancouver in August in their home and home series that will decide the Canadian Championships.

The last time we saw the Impact on the field, they managed a convincing 3 - 0 victory over Columbus at home, which at the time kept Columbus winless on the road in 2015. Montreal took control of the match early with two goals in the first eight minutes, and Dominic Oduro's brace led the way.

Quick Analysis & Prediction

Quick Analysis:

Sporting’s Matt Besler could make his 200th appearance in a KC uniform this weekend, while Chance Myers could make his 100th start for the team this weekend as well.

Sporting leads all of MLS with a 1.76 scoring average, while the Impact is among the worst in the league with a 1.56 goals against average this season.

Prediction:

Where else would you expect us to turn when these two get together?

All three Overs came in a year ago, and we can certainly expect some fireworks to come in this one.

If a measly -115 is all the line setters are going to ask to hope for three goal to cash our Over ticket, that we must oblige them with some action towards it.

The Over 2.5 goes in as our suggestion at Sporting Park at -115.

Thankyou)(&

4 Plays posted, and I guess 3 - 1 will have to do. If NYCFC would have even shown up, that would have been nice!
