First of all, try and explain to me just exactly how this incredible set of circumstances could ever get off the ground? Who called who and said what to who? Do you think maybe Gary Bettman made a call the the director of officiating and said something to the effect of.....Listen fellas...we REALLy need our sport to grow at a much greater rate then we ALREADY are. We here in the offices feel it would be in all of our best interests if somehow..some way...Pittsburgh were to skate around holding the cup this time around. Sidney Crosby , as you know, is the face of this league. And I can't express enough, what a benefit this would be to us all as a whole. So....off the record...."You know what to do" "You KNOW what to do"!

Imagine it starting from the NHL brass instead of a mob figure or a gambler with the right ties.

The hawks where a good team but they where like the penguins last year.

i like this quote. seeing the way the wings completely took the fast skating kane out of the series, i'm sure they'll be able to deal with the penguins #1 line better than most think.....then the other part of me says the only reason they looked so dominant vs. the hawks was b/c they knocked havlat out and the series was never the same.
