In its basic form it may be true, but to your point, in our current reality it's a waste of words. When people rely on a corrupt media that sensationalizes and lies about pretty much everything, that is not truth (but unfortunately it is the truth that some people believe). When we rely on medical prognosticators with wildly exaggerated and grossly inaccurate predictions to steer us, and continue to support these models regardless of how many times they get it wrong, we can't move forward. When we listen to naysayers on a daily basis give us a death count (and emphasize only the negative) and try to guilt people into going into financial distress, we can't move forward. People need to get beyond the useful idiots and use their own critical thinking skills for us to get back to normal. Will it happen? I don't know but I'll hope. And right now, all I'm thinking is thank God I live in Texas. One day away from starting our rebuilding, and the naysayers are fuming. To which I say....fuck them! It's about time for them to stop preaching to others to be selfless and take a page out of their own playbook. If they are in a compromised group, stay home and let the people that are not help them. It's time for pragmatic solutions instead of their being so demanding of others.

I know you were Willie. I was just elaborating (sometimes you have to do that for the Useful Idiots to understand that the people you're describing are them). There are actually plenty of people that do still think for themselves. They are just not always as vocal as the Useful Idiots. But as was the case with my experience with my NextDoor community, at some point the thinking ones get fed up with the vocal minority (who like to scream and coerce to make it seem like everyone is on the same page as them) and they finally tell these jackasses where to stick it.
