was thinking about backing boca myself tonight until i just read this on goal.com:
Argentine giants, Boca Juniors, will prioritize on their league campaign this season, and for that reason they will field a reserve team to confront the first leg of their Copa Sudamericana round of sixteen tie with Copa Libertadores champions Liga de Quito.
Despite a 3-2 loss against Tigre on the weekend, Boca have a great opportunity to join San Lorenzo in the top positions of the Argentine league standings when they face Newell's Old Boys on Thursday, a little more than 24 hours after the Liga match.
Carlos Ischia has only called upon three players from the side who lost against Tigre on Sunday, these being Mauricio Caranta, Sebastian Battaglia (who is suspended for the Newell's match) and Lucas Viatri.
Despite his presence, Viatri will be restricted to the bench and his place will be occupied by Pablo Mouche, who will partner Ricardo Noir in the attack.
Meanwhile, their opponents, Liga de Quito, will field a very strong side, which includes the likes of Jose Francisco Cevallos, Paul Ambrossi, and Claudio Bieler.
