Donald Trump suffered another humiliating defeat in court this week when a judge in New York rejected his request to have the verdict from the E. Jean Carroll case tossed out. Not only did the judge reject that request, but he also poured cold water on Trump's attempts to countersue Carroll by ruling that the language that she used to describe what happened to her was, in fact, correct. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what happened.

Donald Trump suffered a humiliating legal defeat this week when a federal judge in Manhattan, judge Lewis Kaplan issued a ruling that not only rejected Donald Trump's request to toss out the jury verdict that he recently was handed, uh, in the trial where Eugene Carroll alleged defamation and assault. But the judge also explained to Donald Trump how definitions work, which could destroy Donald Trump's counter suit against Eugene Carroll. So before I tell you what the judge says, let me of course give you the backstory here. What happened is that Donald Trump recently counter sued Eugene Carroll because Eugene Carroll has said and used the word to describe what Donald Trump did to her. YouTube gets mad when you say that word. So let me just say it starts with an R and rhymes with ape. That's the word that Eugene Carroll used to describe what Donald Trump did to her. Trump says that the jury verdict in that previous trial says I only assaulted her. I didn't actually R word her. Judge Kaplan decided to let Donald Trump know how those definitions actually work in the legal sense. And he said this, uh, Kaplan rejected this argument pointing out that even if the jury didn't find him liable for r as legally defined, they found him liable for a sexual offense. As many people commonly understand the word R that is that the attack amounted to something a layperson would colloquial, uh, colloquially call R um, again, YouTube gets real mad when you use that word, so I'm not gonna use it. But again, starts with r and rhymes with the word ape. Judge Kaplan says that those words are essentially interchangeable. What the jury found that you did, basically does amount to that word. Now, Kaplan was not overseeing the counter suit that Trump has filed against Eugene Carroll, but by issuing the ruling in this manner, he is effectively giving whatever court ends up with that case, the the clearance to say, listen, those words are interchangeable. What that jury found is interchangeable with that R word. So this is a big ruling. It's a ruling that is definitely going to have a negative impact on Donald Trump's counter suit against Carol. And as I mentioned, the judge also said, there's no reason for me to entertain throwing out the verdict because you have no evidence at all to show that the jury did anything wrong while reaching their decision. So again, It's been a bad legal week for Donald Trump and his idiotic court filings continue to make it worse.
