Unlike Mahomes, Josh was very raw when he entered the league. The Browns with their number one pick opted for the polished sure thing in Baker Mayfield. Oops!

Josh has developed the best of the best because he has the heart of a lion.

He's an old school QB in a new school world.

He's too inconsistent to be number 1 IMO. Talent is there but not quite the consistency/accuracy

I do think he's in that top 5-6 group with Brady, Rodgers, Mahommes, Burrow, Herbert (maybe)

When Allen first came into the league he was inaccurate. That's no longer the case. In every category he does things a tad better than Mahomes. I'd say Allen is #1.

He’s a lot more accurate than when he entered for sure (his accuracy sucked) but don’t think he does everything a tad better than Mahomes

There are at least a handful of quarterbacks more accurate than him still, including Mahomes

This is to the game he had with Mahomes, where they both played great

It’s a great illustration of his inconsistency over a significant amount of time

It's not how many you score but when you score them.

Nobody more clutch and exciting to watch than Allen, and why he's the current betting favorite for MVP.

Allen being the MVP favorite is aided strongly by expectations for Buffalo I’d imagine — though Allen obv a major reason for the Bills hype

Wouldn’t be shocked if he does win it, but it will be tough for him to overcome Burrow and the mighty Bengals

Mahomes isn't very accurate. He had receivers that got a lot of separation and those that would win jump balls. Don't confuse either with Rodgers.

Allen is one of the best running QBs. It's fun to watch him run over and jump over defenders.

That's definitely a strength he has over other QB's in that top tier group

But I do think Allen is getting a little too much hype. There's no doubt he's good but people gotta pump the brakes a little bit

Allen's ability to run fast and over people, added to his great arm, and accuracy make him the most lethal QB in the game today in my opinion.

If I'm starting a team I want Josh Allen.

If you could move any QB to any other NFL team I want Josh Allen.

Allen does not have great talent to throw to. Diggs is above average but far short of great. Let's see how Maholmes and Rogers do without Tyreek Hill and Devante Adams. I think they both regress.

Hill is the sparkplug for that offense.

No Hill or Adams means those two QBs will definitely struggle.

Some good points. I just don't he is quite as accurate or consistent as, say, a Rodgers or Burrow.

I think we have some recency bias when we evaluate Allen. He had plenty of pretty mediocre to straight up bad performances last season, though it ended on a good note in the playoffs.

I'm a Bengals fan. If the salaries matched and you offered me Allen straight up for Burrow, I'm swiftly saying no.

Most talented probably. But....got beat by Mahomes twice and Mahomes has a bowl.......sorry, gotta still go Mahomes
While he was probably even better in last years game and could do no better when the defense let him down Mahomes also was clutch and did what was needed to win

Allen left the AFC Championship with the lead, yet somehow his D coughed it up with no time remaining on the clock . To make matters worse, Allen didn't even touch the ball in OT. Again, complete choke job by the Buffalo defense.

Rules are rules, but there's no way Allen would have lost that game had he taken another snap.

Josh is a human tank and legend in the making.
