Johnny Football disappointment

Well, it sure looks like Johnny Manziel may turn out to be a bum steer. Seems as though the guy is too immature and may not be able to fade the heat. He looked worse than horrible last night. Too small; can't see over the linemen. Pro defenses won't let him scramble around the way he did at Texas A&M. Could turn out to be a potential repeat of the disappointing Tim Tebow, or abysmal Vince Young.

Great stuff in college, plus those high expectations, followed by a big fat bust in the NFL. Johnny Football looks like a huge disappointment already. Maybe there will be more bird flipping, and tantrums as the defenses shut him down. One thing is for sure. He's no Andrew Luck. Not by a long shot. We may actually see little Johnny wash out quickly. If he doesn't get on track the sports commentators will be giving him the bum's rush, and Cleveland fans will be wearing brown paper bags to the home games.

That was his second pre season game. He hasn't even gotten 1 complete regular season game under his belt. Wow

Cant believe ya threw Vince Young in with that group. Remember he was rookie of the year at one point. Was playing pretty good football and then had an eruption of sorts. Him an Fisher fell out of grace with each other and then it went downhill from there. He has not had much of a chance to play since he lost his starting job, it truly was his off field antics that did him in rather than his play IMO.

I think Manziel is a special talent and will succeed in the NFL. I've criticized him because of posts about his "superior athletic" ability, but as a qb, he has the skills. I also think Peyton Manning is the greatest qb ever and he runs a 5.5 40 and probably has a 6 inch vert. There's a dude in the Taco Bell drive thru that can run faster than him. Problem with Manziel is you need a team in the NFL to be successful. So with this Browns squad, I don't think any qbs really have a chance. He needs to be in a serious system, with pieces all around him that can make him succeed. Like Russell Wilson.
