Once again this shouldn't surprise anyone but.......

John Kerry has a habit of saying one thing and doing another.

In January 2004, Sen. Kerry told a group at Dartmouth College in New Hampshire, "Everybody always makes the mistake of looking South." This weekend, while John Kerry "looks South" to Mississippi, campaigning in your backyard, take a look at the facts about John Kerry.

Sen. Kerry voted against marriage penalty relief at least a dozen times. He voted against expanding child tax credit at least 4 times. He voted at least 7 times against repealing the death tax. He voted at least 3 times against banning partial-birth abortions. In 1996, he voted against the Defense of Marriage Act, calling it "unconstitutional, unprecedented and unnecessary." And John Kerry has voted at least a dozen times against pay increases for service members.

The facts about John Kerry? His voting record is at odds with Mississippi values and out of step with America's role in a changing world.

To paraphrase you:

I can't believe all this Kerry-bashing that goes on in these threads. I can't believe that the Reps don't come up with alternate solutions, instead they just say what a bad job Kerry's done or is going to do. Typical Conservatives.

From what I have seen of him, I would not classify Kerry as a liberal. For starters, liberals have convictions ...

Answer -A competent liberal President.

Question - Why do the male members of the Kennedy family cry while having sex?

Answer - Mace.

Question - Who was the first liberal Democrat?

Answer -Christopher Columbus. He left not knowing where he was going, got there not knowing where he was, left not knowing where he'd been and did it all on borrowed money.

Liberals are like seagulls: all they do is squawk, eat crap, and they are protected by the government

Kerry has seemed to make a living off stradling fences, and remaining ambiguois. While people claim him to be far left, he did support the patriot act, and the war.

No he is opposed to them. Its obvious what he is doing.

That bieng said, I would till prefer someone who has flipped to start opposing those acts, as opposed to someone who still supports them.

To me the patriot act must be stopped, and even if the person stopping it is disingenious, it is better than the law still existing.

Not that it really matters. I live in Mass. There is really no practical reason for me to vote for the general election. We will vote blue. I do not need to choose between the lesser of two evils, because the choice has been made here, and for that matter most states. (Voting only really matters if you live in a state that has the ability to go either way, IE michigan)

SO I will vote my conscience and hit up the liberterian party.

Its funny, I kind of see Bush as the worst the republicans have to offer (too much spending, too much war, to much intruision with personal life)

I also see Kerry as one of the worst democrats to choose from. ( Full of "safe answers that dont address anything, pro affirmitave action, tries to please everyone.)

Say what you will about Kucinich, but at least he

1. Touts policies, that are backed up by his voting record.

2. Tries to relate how he will reach his agendas (specifcally says where he will cut, and where he will spend)

3. Is honest---no flip flopping.

In my opinion this guy is the most likable, honest and well spoken democrats.

I would have considered voting for him despite my ideological differences on socail programs.
