Wow!

This must all be about money. But doesn't he get about 2 million a year in Michigan? Is that not enough?

It would seem he's not an NBA coach, especially with his style. A tailor made coach for college. NBA wants "bend over" coaches like the pushover coach in Houston... NBA players don't like listening, following orders, showing up on time.... or questioning their non-hustle. Basically thug life baby victims.

Does not look like an NBA coach at all.

But he can definitely coach... so maybe it will work out for him..... as long as he gets horses. If he doesn't get the horses, then he'll be smoking weed and listening to rap music with his players at the party with his players while they lose 60 a year.

Kind of reminds me of the OKC coach. The guy preached fake positive values in college hoops -- NBA doesn't run on that -- while probably pushing tens of thousands of cash money to players under the table like the Arizona coach.... who was a straight up banker. Lmfao.

First thing you gotta understand about the NBA is that thug life rules. None of this "play hard and hustle" and John Wooden shit. It's about dat life.

Big mistake, college coaches never seem to make it in the pro system, and believe it or not the players run those teams

Always thought of him as a college coach. But with the three point offense and the flop taking over the NBA, he might be OK

He better hope the Cavs win the lottery for an unprecedented 5th time in the last 17 years.

They think he's going to be the next Brad Stevens or Billy Donovan. Only college coach who could return to NBA and would probably be decent is Calipari. Coach K would have succeeded because he coached a ton of NBA players on the Olympic and National teams.

They'll think they won the lottery if he's the next Brad Stevens, and Cal was run out of town, a total bust in the NBA

It sure sounds like he decided to take the $$, coach 5 more seasons(if that), then hit the golf course and the beach.

That's unfortunate for Michigan. They would have been better off if the other POS left.

He could retire now and be extremely comfortable.

Not sure what the Cavs see in him but for him, he just wants to see if he can do it at the highest level

That and sanctions are coming down the line at Michigan
